I don't know. I kinda dissagree now once I think about the trade. How long will Contreras be with out his family after this trade? I know he had been doing a great job with them out of Cuba. But the more I think about it, the less I like it. Esteban did a great job with the Sox. I guess this team does need a jump start, but was trading him really the best option. I've never heard of him being a clubhouse cancer or anything.

Who knows, he might only be in Wrigley for the rest of the year. I do think Boston did a good job because there was basically no chance that Nomar was going to stay in Boston after this year. Might as well get another quality shortstop for him.

OK so Boston now has 3 first basemen if you count Ortiz. Menkavitcz will probably be a backup I'd assume. I know he did play some third base a bit in Minnesota but not at all this year.

But did the Red Sox even need a first basemen. Who's started there ususally? I believe Ortiz is the DH.

So the Twins just gave up Minkeivitch for Lowe? That's it?

With Davis going 1 for 3 or 1 for 4 it still raises his batting average. But I too would like to see a mult hit game. If he went 3 for 4 I bet it'd raise about 40 points.

You want to dump a 21 game winner from last year? Come on, sure he's not going to win 21 games again, but he should get around 15 and that is still a good year. It's not his fault we lost this game.

Yes I do agree that you have to leave Rowand in during that. Borchard is also strike out prone right now. Leave Aaron in, he's a solid player.

Yes, 2 errors resulting in runs. Plus we got the two calls to go our way and Morneau scores anyways, then he gets out and Hunter hits a home run. We should have won, but I guess that happens. I'd take Olerud because it's not like we'd have him for more than the 2nd half of the season. And he can actually play some good defense. I wouldn't want either one, but I'd prefere Olerud.

Exactly, I doubt we'll get either Simon or Olerud, but I think Olerud is the better option.

I prefere Olerud because he doesn't go for power like a lot of players on this team. He'll get the base hit or the double and I think that'd help this team.

I'd prefere John Olerud over Randall Simon I think.

Jose has to get out of the 2 hole. I'd put Everett in there before him. I think Rowand would be the best bet there though.

This team has a rough road ahead of them with out their two sluggers, but they'll bounce back. I think tomorrow should be classified as a must win game. If they're only 1 1/2 games out afterwards then we'll feel decent about this series.

I don't think there should be any more trades. But it's just 2 games we dropped to them. I believe they took 2 out of 3 last time they were here. The Sox just have to focus on tomorrow and get a win. Where is Sandy Alomar Jr. anyways, I want to see him catch out there.

ElCaballo is right, we've been 2 1/2 games out a few times this year and always find our way back to the lead, but we give it right back. This team just needs to except that Frank and Maggs aren't here right now. Someone needs to step up and Carlos Lee has been doing a damn good job with it. Jose Valentin needs to get his act going, he's been doing a terrible job recently. This team is only out if they think they're out. There's plenty of season left.
