Is there any chance of him getting moved up to AA this year? I'd say 2006 also but only if he does get moved up this year. I just think this organization takes their time with sending people up to the big leagues.
I truely think that in 2001, trading Lawton lead to their demise. They were on a roll until that happened and then Cleveland passed them. The Sox did pass them but ended a few games behind the Twins.
He's also a lot better defensively than Morneau, but Morneau is their future first basemen so whatever they got for Doug is probably a plus since he wasn't going to come back after this year.
I'm personally glad they kept Crede. We really don't have another 3rd basemen for the future and there are some outfielders in the minors that'll fill the void. I think Reed will have a great career but Garcia and Davis have been doing great for the Sox. All in all I'm sure it'll be a win-win trade for both teams.
This team is getting killed by Italy. I still think we'll win the gold medal, but it's amazing how quickly these foreign teams have caught on to the game. And they know the fundementals a lot better too. I think basketball will take over as the worlds most popular sport in the future.
I'm glad beanie babies aren't that popular anymore. That's rediculous how much demand was on little animals like that. Oh well I guess. People need something to collect.
Yes, I think he'll do well here in Chicago. I kind of want Sandy to retire and hopefully stay as a coach. This team doesn't really need 3 catchers IMO.
Haha, we want both back. Aslong as this team stays in contention the quicker both of these guys will be back. If this team falls out to about 8 games back by the end of August, they probably won't be coming back this year.
I hope he recovers. I know there were some Twins fans screaming with joy when Maggs went for the 2nd time. I just don't want to stoop to their level. I think wishing for career injuries is very stupid. I'm not saying that anyone here is wishing for that though.
Wow, that was very well said. I agree with you 100%. No one is going to be able to turn around a hitters mentality. That has to be done by the hitter himself.
Good, so we got a guy that'll be here for a few more years then just having Loaiza for only the rest of the season. This trade keeps looking better and better everyday imo.
