The draft is about ponying up the dough to get that game-changer on your roster. In recent years, it seems like teams have drafted inferior talent because they were afraid to give that crazy signing bonus. Let's hope Jerry and KW will be willing to pony up to bring in that guy.

Tigers fans are goofy... when they were in their terrible days, a lot of them were pretty nice. Went to Comerica in like 03 and they were really nice folks. Winning must turn Detroit fans into assholes. I'd venture to say it's the same for basketball. Who knows about football, they're never good.

I hope we see Owens on the major league roster for a while. He's certainly not going to be an everyday player imo, but he's a fantastic fielder, borderline great base stealer and he can get you the occasional base hit. 4th outfielder material if you ask me. But if we see him in the lineup everyday next season, things will get ugly.

I just watched the Kenny comments on CSN. While he makes some valid points (players in the future asking for full NTC), a pitcher like Buehrle doesn't come along every day and he doesn't come with that discount. If Kenny doesn't think it's a tremendous discount at 4/56, he should just trade him and watch him get 100 million over 7. All I know is I'd hate to be Kenny at Soxfest next year if Buehrle isn't under contract.

I'd still say no if I were Mark.... the guy deserves to play here for the next 4 years if he wants to.

I had a blast at Comerica. This was back when the Tigers were atrocious. The fans were great and it's just a beautiful open spot. Probably the only nice thing about Detroit.
