Can you guys see anything? ^^^^
-
I can't upload a new sig or post any pictures via URL. What's going on?
-
The Hamburgler.

Is there any way to get a list of them somewhere after the season is over or do you have to look up all the information yourself?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) OK. I'll spill the beans. Geoff Blum's triple. He broke one of the cardinal rules of baseball by attempting to go to 3rd on that play. That rule being that you never risk making the first or third out of the inning at 3rd base. An accurate throw would have nailed him, and he was just barely safe as it was. It didn't make any difference in the outcome of the game, but at the time it occured, it was a bonehead play and Blum got lucky. I just found it interesting that nobody mentioned it in the thread. Maybe he was being waved to 3rd.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) I believe his home run today was actually the margin of victory, was it not? No we won by two runs.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:28 PM) I still say Timo could be a .300 hitter if he wasn't so lazy 70 % of the time... Instead he chooses to be "clutch"... It's not laziness, it's lack of AB's. Each dot on the chart represents Timo's batting average against the number of at-bats he had that year. I inserted the line of best fit. Numbers don't lie.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) Strikes out the next guy on a slider. And the next...

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) He is in. First batter he faces goes yard. Strikes out the next guy on a slider.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) I think Liriano is about to debut in the next half inning. A little preview of the filthiness we'll have to deal with in the future. Massive f***ing blast by Gary Matthews Jr, his first batter faced. ERA = sideways 8.

I was the one who told you to use more color and that wall is my favorite behind the Timo one.

QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Oh yeah another thing. We're back to our season high of 34 games above .500 . I think 35 is the high.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) Would you rather touch the back of your hat after evey pitch or walk to the back of the mound pick up a sack, toss it around for a bit and throw it back down? And you weigh 275.

Their kids will be fast and hot.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) I'm not that familliar with pitch grips, but I think a circle change gets it's name from the formation of a circle by the Index finger and Thumb on the side of the ball. -- McCarthy's change Looks like McCarthy gets his middle finger to be part of the 'circle' too. Whether that makes it a screwball, I don't know? You're right on the circle change name origination. I have never ever seen the middle finger being part of the 'circle' though. For a screwball you usually twist your wrist in the opposite direction of whatever hand you throw with.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) blum for gold glove Can we give him 4 because he plays so many positions.
-
Contrary to popular belief, Timo doesn't hit Schilling THAT well. Just 2 for 12. Blum on the other hand hits him just as well if not better than anyone on the team, 12 for 32.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) EDIT: Sorry, lightspeeder, but I gotta know what band that is. Alexis On Fire? Who? For once, I'm stumped. None other than Coheed & Cambria. I encourage everyone to go here http://www.purevolume.com/coheedandcambria to stream their new song 'Welcome Home'. /plug.

QUOTE(marsh @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) I'm surprised at that lineup. I thought ozzie would get a bunch of subs in. Is anderson back with the team? I would of liked to see him get the start over timo., but other than that It's good. I think Anderson re-joins tomorrow.

Is this on ESPN for everyone or blacked out in some areas?

apostrophe in 'arms'?

I just looked up some some other college pitchers taken in the first round and it seems there is some merit to what you guys are saying. There weren't many pitchers who have thrown as many innings this year and performed better than Lance (Carrillo seems to be the lone exception). Romero (6th) is doing pretty well with all the innings, but Townsend (8th) seems to be doing poorly.

QUOTE(OilCan @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Lance will be all right. IMO, chalk one up to "tiring at the end of the year". How many innings, since his final year in college, has he pitched this year anyway? Betcha it's close to 175 IP combined. He'll be OK. Very close, it's about 172 IP.
