MLB.Com TV
I have it now, and you don't get any games live if you are in blackout. There is, however, a way to change your computer settings so the program doesn't think you are in a blackout region. Someone on the board last year showed me how to do it, but I don't remember who.

Old Daily Show Episodes?
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) I recorded an episode of the Daily Show on March 2nd. I was going to use it for a class project on March 17th, but I just got home from work and found out my fiancee just RECORDED OVER IT!!!!!!! It had EXACTLY what we are talking about in the presentation. Is there anywhere I can find it? I really need this. Comedy Central has the show online, but i cant download it and it is not "broadcast quality" so it wouldnt look good on a TV. Ask and ye shall recieve. http://w2.tvtorrents.tv:8081/bt/the.daily....sr-loki.torrent hope you know how to deal with torrents.

Sox vs San Francisco
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) I wasn't directing my comment at you, just in general. I guess I'm just tired of the whole Timo discussion. No offense Rowand, but you don't have to participate if you don't want to. I just think the joking about him has gone a little too far.

Sox vs San Francisco
When Timo had most consistent playing time and was not a bench player (2002), he had an OPS+ of 106 in 136 games. In my opinion, Borchard won't have an OPS+ over 100 for an entire season in the majors.

Big Ten Tournament Predictions
I just think the big win will carry them deep. Thad proved last year he's a good coach in tournament style play.

Sox vs San Francisco
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 05:47 PM) Ok, and do any of those Bill James stats crap take into account his throw out of Bret Boone to end that game in September, or his bunt with the bases loaded to tie the Twins game just to name a few great Timo moments? Do you think any of those statheads actually watched as many Sox games as you or me last year? Maybe the Yankees should release A-Rod. I mean, does he really deserve $18 million? Also the 3-run single off of KRod to tie the game, a game-tying home run off Benitez in Pro Player, and toying with Zambrano on the basepaths to trigger a Crede home run. For a bench player, he made the difference in a handful of games in 2004. We pay almost 1,000,000 per win anyway. 2 questions: How much has the White Sox organization paid both Timo/Borchard? Who has done more for the organization? Answer these and you might understand why I got upset.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) the argument for borchard is his upside..... also Borchard is a switch hitter which always helps your cause. And we dont pay Borchard a million dollars you're right. we pay him five million.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) Borchard's always played everyday too. who has better career stats?
-
Sox vs San Francisco
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) Who still has more upside? Borchard's major league numbers are still a pretty small sample size. But i keep forgetting how godly timo's numbers are. which is it? upside or potential? You asked me what has timo ever DONE. only have better career offensive numbers than Borchard in everything.
-
Sox vs San Francisco
Timo is a victim of not playing everyday. You guys are allowed to use it with Rowand. Look at his stats from the one season he was a regular.

Sox vs San Francisco
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Why? What does timo do? Borchard at least goes out and hustles all the time. CAREER timo .269/.306/.384 borch .182/.248/.332 hustles? haha lets enshrine eckstein into the hall right goddamn now.
