  1. Please bring up Valdez...
  2. Build the team around pitching instead of offense.
  3. Heads, are you hesitating to update the Diaz watch?
  4. As long as he can throw the offspeed pitch for strikes, Shingo absolutely should be our closer next year too. Lately he's lost some control of that pitch, forcing him to throw mainly fastballs in hitters counts. I don't think there is anyone on the market that's better than Shingo.
  5. Something I saw the other day... http://www.heavethehawk.com Pretty rediculous. I love Hawk and wouldn't want anybody else calling our games.
  6. We Pwned the Twins at the Metrodome this year.

I'm watching the Twins game on MLB.TV right now, and Joe Nathan just tried to bare-hand pick a shot back up the middle and it knocked his fingernail right off. His hand was shaking like crazy, and there was blood all over it. Pretty gross.
  11. Suzuki - .371 Mora - .349 Rodriguez - .339 Guerrero - .331 Durazo - .325 Rowand - .323 Erstad - .319 Ramirez - .317 Lopez - .315 Guillen - .314
  12. I want everyone to know my foresight should be commended! ARow currently 6th in AL batting.

    Jaime Burke

He ranks second on the team with 9.125 AB's between each strike out. Timo is first with only 26 K's in 244 AB's (9.38).
  14. Thanks for those graphs Cheat, I enjoyed that.
  15. It's Mack, not Matt. This seems like a poll they made for Cubs fans, not Sox fans.
  16. Isn't this the same as 'Least Valuable White Sox Player' thread?
  17. The sub-title for this thread is very funny.
  18. Here is the Phillidelphia announcers' call: (Borchard steps into the box) "Borchard hitting at just .160, first round draft pick in the 2000 draft, 12th player selected in that draft out of Stanford University a switch-hitter and... (Borchard hits home run) "...goodbye. Way, way outta of here. Wow." "Wha....wow." "Under the scoreboard out on the catwalk under the scoreboard, for a looonngg 2-run home run Borchard his third of the year." "Maybe that's why they drafted him first. That kinda power, that cleared all the seats!" "Boy was that ball crushed." (Later on) "Estimated distance on the Borchard home run: 504 feet." "Wow." "Wow." "That's the way you used to hit 'em, right L.A.?" "Yeah...with a driver."
  19. Both Odalis Perez and Carl Pavano after the dismissal of: Magglio, Garland, Valentin, Lee/Konerko, Schoenweis, Alomar & Alomar.
  20. The guy who should get the biggest look and most playing time is Valdez. He's already a big improvement over Jose's defense, but let's see if he can hit at the major league level or not.
