  1. I do not want Haeger anywhere near this rotation. Gavin Floyd will surprise you all.
  2. I thought faceguarding was only illegal in NCAA?
  3. That was one of the craziest TDs I've ever seen. 7-0 PATS

    Raw Eggs

I put over-easy eggs on my sandwiches all the time. But those have had at least some contact with heat. You can get sick from any egg that is runny though.
  5. Here's a vid I found on Massett in case anyone is interested. Gives a little scouting report and a glimpse of his mechanics.
  6. QUOTE(PAUL KONERKO 14 @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 10:38 AM) Look in my sig, thats what he will do. Didn't he hit real good in the second half? This is a common misconception around here. He improved in the second half, but his offensive numbers were still disappointing in that period. It's hard not to improve upon a 180 AB stint where you do not hit .200. BA was striking out less after the All-Star break, but breaking pitches low and away were a big problem for him and most teams knew to pitch him this way. However, most of us realize that it's pretty hard to develop as a rookie with sporadic playing time and bad matchups. So optimism definitely still remains with BA, especially because of his great defense in a very important defensive position.
  7. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) They tell you where to go. If they don't, the key is to search every room that you can. Eventually you'll find a key or a puzzle that will get things going again. Found it, you need a total of four monkeys to move on. That fourth one is tricky..
  8. I am stuck in the first temple. So far I have released three of the monkeys but I don't know where to go with them.
  9. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:15 AM) So what was better, BSU-OU or USC-Texas? That's like choosing a favorite child. I can't do it. But I can't get enough Vince Young and have a deep and utter hatred for USC and Pete Carroll so maybe that's why.
  10. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) The prospects I've heard are Owings and Nippert. Pretty impressive. That's a better package than we got for Freddy. Are the Yankees picking up salary?

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 02:40 AM) I also plan on smokin' 3 20's (weed) as well. I'm gonna be so gone. This is quite the undertaking. That's at least 10 fatties. Is this an all-day event?

  15. Who are those people in the stands? Tell them I hate them.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) Is there any team in baseball that has a better set of pitching prospects than we do? Seriously. This is one hell of a collection of arms. Unfortunately, I think two teams in our own division (Twins, Indians) have better pitching prospects than we do.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 05:34 PM) I was worried about hte same thing until McCarthy had that start at the end of the year and still dominated. The Indians basically ran out the Buffalo Bisons roster that game.
  18. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) Chisoxfn -- you alledge inside information which may have necessitated this move. I don't want to pry, but I believe many here would appreciate if you could atleast give a slight clue. PM me if you're not willing to post it. I bet the information is that our organization knows it f***ed up McCarthy's development by placing him in the bullpen and rather than spend more time off his arb clock to fix him, they'd rather get a pitcher of similar stature who hasn't hit the bigs yet. I could be wrong.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) I would say, talent-wise Danks is valued a little higher, especially since he is a lefty. I really enjoy having two of the top five left-handed pitching prospects in our system now, but I'm still very uneasy about 2007 at this point in time.
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Even though this trade kina blows for this year. Our rotation could be young, cheap and filthy in the next few years. 1. Danks 2. Gio 3. Floyd 4. Broadway 5. Haeger Would definitely be young and cheap.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Dec 23, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) How do you feel about that? You probably know much, much more about prospects than I do. Can he be a consistenly reliable reliever? I do not know much about Masset, other than his strength seems to be that he can pop the fastball in the upper 90s and possesses a real sharp breaking ball. To me those sound like the attributes of the guys KW has been trying to acquire for the bullpen lately (Jenks, McDougal, Aardsma, Sisco). His control doesn't look to be above average so that doesn't bode well for a reliever. Who knows though, Masset had been a starter up until last year so maybe I'm wrong about him being in the pen and KW will give him the option to start in AAA like Sisco.
