QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 22, 2006 -> 02:18 AM) Rogowski=Gload IMO. Not close. They are quite different offensively.- Best albums of the year.
QUOTE(NUKE @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 01:14 AM) I cant get that title track out of my head. I love that song.........and several others on that album as well. I disliked them before this album. But the new music was an interesting departure that captured me. They seemed to pull from different influences when constructing the songs. Actually the same can be said about my John Mayer pick. That is an amazing soul/blues/R&B fusion.- Best albums of the year.
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) I don't like these lists. There is no way anybody could have heard every album released this year, not even in your prefered style of music. Well put. In the same vein: STANDOUTS: John Mayer - Continuum Set Your Goals - Mutiny! SOLID: Angels And Airwaves - We Don't Need To Whisper The Early November - The Mother, Mechanic, and the Path Saves The Day - Sound The Alarm Hit The Lights - This Is A Stickup, Don't Make It A Murder New Found Glory - Coming Home +44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating Gym Class Heroes - Cruel As School Children Gnarles Barkley - St. Elsewhere My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade Brand New - The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me- Bagwell calls it a career
My favorite baseball player. I used to emulate his swing in little league.- What would the Mets give for Javy?
QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 07:52 AM) Who is generally considered the better prospect, Mike Pelfrey or Phillip Humber? BP ranked the top three Mets prospects as follows: 1. Fernando Martinez 2. Philip Humber 3. Mike Pelfrey But really I think it will vary based on who you ask.- What would the Mets give for Javy?
If they lost out on Zito, I'd start the bidding with Mike Pelfrey, Lastings Milledge, and Jon Niese. I wouldn't settle for much less than that. It's a one-sided deal, but at this point I'm not making a deal for equal value or even slightly in our favor. The Mets are a postseason team, and we would be enabling them to round out a postseason rotation. For that, you gotta pay an uneven amount. This is just if I'm the GM and what would be enough for me. Kenny isn't known to be this way though.- Anyone else saddened by the decline of Britney Spears
New LCD flat-panel monitor with 1280x768 resolution = $110 Seeing Britney's backdoor stubble = priceless- Gload re-signs for 1 year

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 25, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) I have had over 10 acoustics in my life, and none were cmore dissapointing than the Fenders. I like their electrics, but find their acoustics to be pure crap. I concur to a certain degree. I wouldn't call them pure crap, but I've played better acoustics for similar prices. My fender strat is terrific though.- Dave Roberts off the market
QUOTE(joeynach @ Nov 25, 2006 -> 03:19 PM) Roberts is set to sign a 3 year 15-18M deal with the Giants according to MLB4u.com. So our search continues can Rocco Baldelli hit leadoff? He could, but he can't draw a walk to save his life. He's better suited somewhere lower in the order. It's an intriguing name to throw out though.- Guitar Gurus
This is a fine guitar with a low price that's great for beginners: Washburn D100 I'd suggest reading the reviews to see if it sounds right for you.- Wii
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 22, 2006 -> 06:39 PM) OT: But why did the PS3 thread get closed? I think it broke and there is a recall.- Wii

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 18, 2006 -> 11:58 PM) Excel. Ding CELL B1=IF(A1="X", 1, 0) This formula will print a 1 in cell B1 if cell A1 contains only the character X. If there is anything in the cell other than just the character X, a 0 will be printed in cell B1. Just paste your sample into Excel and do something of this sort.- Rangers Have Interest in Garland
QUOTE(beck72 @ Nov 18, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) Have any names been mentioned, besides Anderson and Garland for Danks, etc? I'd have to say a bullpen guy from the Rangers along with Danks and others. Otsuka has had been mentioned, but that may have only been speculation. He's been consistently good, but will be 34 I believe to start the season. Others have thrown out the name of relief pitching "prospect" Masset, but his periphs do not impress me whatsoever and I think he should have next to zero value as a piece in any deal with us. Fact is pitching is at a serious premium these days and Garland averages over 200 IP/year with 36 wins the last two seasons. Playing for great teams aside, those are still important stats. Garland and Anderson for Danks and Hurley would leave me disappointed.- Thanksgiving Weekend Sales

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 09:41 AM) I know this is beside your point, but I've bought three ps2's and they all broke. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Nov 5, 2006 -> 04:27 AM) I despise the iPod. I've bought 3 and all of them broke in less than 3 months. Either you are a liar or we're just lucky your PC operates frequently enough for you to post here.- ING Direct
I use www.emigrantdirect.com and very much enjoy the 5.05% APY I'm getting. Not bad for a savings account.- GM meetings are today
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Nov 13, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) I hope Kenny only deals for proven and effective pitchers, starting and relieving. By the way, anyone know the most innings BMac has logged in a season? Seems like he's a prime candidate for an August fade. Over 170 innings in 2004, over 185 innings in 2005, 85 innings in last year's experiment. So, we'll see.- The OC?!
