  1. QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) Gathrait, misread that. Guess you could call him GathWRONG on that play!
  2. QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) agreed, quick question what do the white sox and coheed have in common? nice sig by the way. I love them both? Thanks, I made it awhile ago. Hopefully its resurgance brings us good luck.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) I love having Brian starting our rallies. He had to do something to atone for mising the line drive.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) PK is infinitely better at scooping throws in the dirt. He's got one of the softest pick hands in the league.
  5. Young with two doubles, a single, and five RBIs today from the leadoff spot.
  6. Didn't take the Royals announcers long to figure out they need to exploit tonight's "shoddy outfield defense."
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) No word on who might be going to San Diego, although the rumors earlier in the day made it seem like Kattaras, the SD catcher, was going. He's doing very poorly this year in AAA, I think. I can't believe I actually wanted the Sox to trade Fields for this catcher... It's only 100 AB's. I'd still take Kottaras over Fields. Since he's on the Pad's 40-man, wouldn't he have to clear waivers in this Wells deal anyways?

  9. Andrew Miller is getting a callup in time for the Yankee series after pitching five innings in the minors. There was a stipulation in his contract which required a 2006 callup.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 03:14 PM) Is that OPS number wrong? I know that's what MiLB.com says, but how is that possible, considering Sweeney hasn't had an OPS over .900 in one single month? Or am I making some really dumb math mistake? You are correct, that OPS can't be right.
  11. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) More pitching from Mark would be nice. The real question though, is whether Mark has actually improved or is this a one time deal? He has a good gameplan. Today he's throwing some fastballs up, but making sure they are out of the strike zone. An 88 MPH fastball up is very tempting to hitters but still not easy to catch up to if it is well located. It reminds me a lot of how he pitched in that 90 minute game against Seattle.
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) Does anyone here feel confident that 2 runs will be enough to win today? Hell no.
  13. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) we MUST lead the league with DPs. Anyone know this miserable stat? 26th fewest DPs out of 30 teams.
  14. Haha why has DJ been doing Borat lately? "That's a-nice!"

    Lunch

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) I got away from s***ty cafeteria food and got some Burger King. Definitely worth risking a 4 hour detention on Saturday. Hahahaha we always slipped through those doors at the end of the SPS hallway (think that's what it's called?) to go out for lunch. Great time.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) Doesnt BA or something do an updated list at around the mid-season point of the year? I remember seeing the one at the begining of the season but not seeing one since than. Did they make an updated list and if so can someone either post it or give a link. Here is a top 50 minorleagueball.com community list done earlier this month, it's not bad. minorleagueball top 50
