  4. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) In the eyes of the US government, you can't be a dual citizen. Venezuela, on the other hand, may not mind. Really? So what is dual citizenship?

  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) Hahaha, I have a big couch! Im trying to be as rational as possible. If this wasnt AD, if it was Artest, or Stephen Jackson or someone of the sort, we would be complaining about the lack of security to keep them OFF the court, no matter what reason they chose to go into the stands. Fact is, his presence in the stands makes the situation more dangerous, for his wife and for the fans. I do not feel comfortable in the stands where it is a common place for players, who are 10 times bigger than us, to come up into my seat anytime. Its not acceptable, and its not his job to protect people in the stands. Based on her prior record, she is a woman who can handle herself. She went toe to toe to with Spreewell in NY and most likely had her fault in the situation as well. Fact is, there is no place for players in the stands under ANY circumstance. Sheeeeeit, if I took your advice and did not protect my wife and she bounced me, then YOU and your woman get the fk'n couch my friend.
  7. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 11:04 AM) And Rock would probably tell you no on the grounds that he doesnt allow people to crash if they let their wives get beat up.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 10:48 AM) Doesnt the guild of comedians have some sort of anti-doping law? Remember when Piscopo got HUGE?
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 10:47 AM) If those other people were paid security guards that were 10 feet away, and you are obligated not to leave the floor, and your presence could make the whole situation more dangeous for everyone, Im sure she would understand. If I am correct, im SURE your wife could handle herself. I'd be PM'ing your ass about a place to stay. Rock, you're being very rational and that's easy to do sitting where we are. I'm saying I can understand how and why it happened. Of course he'll be punished, rules are rules.
  10. Everyone's buddy chimes in: http://www.suntimes.com/output/mariotti/cst-spt-jay19.html
  11. I would not be able to look my wife in the face if I stood around and let other people try to 'handle' a situation in which another man was threatening her in any way.
  12. Maybe it's because he came from such a meager background that more dollars=more comfort.

  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) DO YOU NOT REMEMBER STEVE LOAIZA? If I had to take a complete guess...I would guess it's that either the Dominican and Venezuela just have all around better talent, or that soccer is bigger in Mexico than baseball is, whereas baseball is huge in both the Dominican and Venezuela. Soccer has always been more popular than baseball in Mexico, even when there were a lot more Mexicans in MLB. I think you're right though, it's probably a combination of a few things.
  16. QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) Thank god I live in Chicago It has it's advantages and not needing to drive everywhere is a big one.

  20. Kid #3. Man, if they don't find these kids to be insane and they get locked up in the big house, they're gonna experience more 'bats' than they ever thought possible. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10834294/
  21. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) This is awesome news. Seems like a reasonable salary. Just glad the Sox and Joe didn't have to go to arbitration. Bingo, good all around.
  22. Yes, a very small piece of crap, without cable or a DVD player to go with it. It never really gets watched. Even the remote for it is broken. I turn it on just before we go to sleep, turn the volume down very low and leave it on all night. As soon as I get out of bed in the morning, I turn it off.
  23. Sounds like he plans to stay gone. Smart move on his part. http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=212365&GT1=7653
