The nice little chunk of change she's gonna make after she sues Francisco, the team, the stadium, the security firm and MLB is gonna make her more than 'OK'.- Does this series mean anything?
Well, lets see here, we plunked Hunter Garcia got rocked we lost the game we fell further back in the standings No, it pretty much reaffirmed what has been obvious for a while now.- Marlins at the Cell
any idea on the attendance there today?- Sox Moving to Tempe Diablo?
I found out about the early closing time that hard way. We didn't even head out until like 11:00, planning to stay out til like 4, got there and it was like "last call folks'.- Sox Moving to Tempe Diablo?
I agree that there is almost no traffic there... ever. Do they still only have a 1:00 am liquor license state wide? I've been to a few of the places you mentioned and was not really impressed. Who knows, maybe during spring training it's a quiet time for them. I didn't expect it be Chicago, but I was bored at night. I'll have to remeber some of those places for next time.- Sox Moving to Tempe Diablo?
IMO, anywhere would be better than Tucson. If you like the night life, there is absolutely nothing to do there, even the area near the University is lame.- Ozzie unloads on Showalter
Showalter was right, Ozzie questioned him and was proven wrong. I like Ozzie, but he blew this one, no big deal.- Ozzie unloads on Showalter
Sorry, I must have missed something Buck said, because what's in those quotes should not have set Ozzie off that way. Here's what happened: Ozzie was embarassed that he was wrong, so he came out lashing......like an idiot.- Marlins to play at USCF
Glad to be of service, yawn.- Marlins to play at USCF
I think JR was afraid the game would sell out and make him look like a rod.- Marlins to play at USCF
I really wish these would have been night games, the turnout would have been interesting at least.- Marlins to play at USCF
That alone should bring them out in droves.- Bruce Levine on Maggs/Frank injuries
I understand that and I guess medicine will always go the conservative route 1st.- Bruce Levine on Maggs/Frank injuries
Call me crazy, but why didn't Frank just go under the knife 2 months ago? I mean we all pretty much figured he was done for the year anyway, so why not fix it quickly and get as much healing time as possible and be ready to roll at 100% in April?- Marlins to play at USCF
Wow, what a message to JR that would be if that game sold out.- Todd Walker??
I didn't hear exactly what Walker said, but it's no secret that Nomar's staying is 50-50 at best. If the Scrubs don't go far in the playoffs, then he gawn.- Todd Walker??
Only because those players' offensive numbers have been....well...offensive. I'm just throwing it out there, I heard he's unhappy with the Scrubs and he's a FA after this year.- Todd Walker??
ok, but that situation would not exist here, he'd start, but I understand you don't want him anyway.- Todd Walker??
So what? I'm talking about possibly starting him here at shortstop.- Todd Walker??
But he has played short in the past and is willing to do it again. Poor defense? I think he's about average and would make up for it with this offense. I'd take him over our 3 choices of Valentin, Uribe or Valdez...if the price is right.- Todd Walker??
Rumor has is it he is growing increasingly unhappy with his lack of playing time on the north side. Isn't he a free agent after this year? Doesn't he play short? Does he hit lefties well? Whaddaya think?- Hawk should stop.....
Ever since this trade went down, for some reason it has become a 'let's see who screwed who the worst' contest. I think we won, Loaiza was supposed to produce immediately. Contreras will be fine, he just needs some time with Coop and Ozzie, he'll be ready by April. Who knows, even Loaiza might get it together, although it might not be with the Bankees.- Garland in Relief?
I see your point. Maybe, as others have pointed out, he sees both of those guys possibly in the pen next season.- Garland in Relief?
I'm not sure where you see evidence of this, I see just the opposite and that's a good thing. Yes, some of his moves last night would be considered mistakes IF we were in the playoff race. We are not and we were down by like 8 runs in the 6th, so who cares? Part of it is psychological too, he doesn't want anyone on this team to feel too comfortable or like they are a 'sure thing' for 2005. I'm all for trying some different things. Try Gload at 1st or Burke at 3rd, does Valdez play the outfield at all?...he looks like a skinny, speedy f'er. Face it folks, it's been a pre spring training 2005 for about a week now, I hope we see a lot more. - Ex-Sox farmhand goes wild
