  1. Sale , Jones, Reed, Crain all looking good, Thornton's turn now.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 3, 2012 -> 07:11 PM) Reed should close. There I said it again. Rios loafing out of the box still manages to be safe because of double clutch by Houston infielder.
  3. Conor Jackson 1st 2 AB's for the Sox , walk and single to right center.
  4. Viciedo is the closest thing the Sox have to a young impact player so I'd love to see him have a great year because it will mean the most wins. OK Sale too .
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 11:34 PM) Once again I didnt' follow spring training, but it's not like we have all kids. It's a veteran laden team. I still think we're .500 at best; prolly 10 below. I wasn't really talking about what you think their record will be. There's a thread for that. I asked how do you feel. No thinking required . It'll be fun watching Viciedo, Sale, Morel, Beckham, Santiago, Reed, Stewart, Molina, De Aza even the slightly older Lillibridge play. I like the vibe I'm getting about this team.
  6. I predict I'm going to like watching this team more than I don't like watching them.
  7. I guess I should have thought of this for the "appreciate the game " thread but I never gave it much thought since it's an advertising slogan for a product I already like. If you build it, they will come and I'm liking the way it's being built. Everyone in the media and front office is pretty careful not to make comparisons between the old and new regime. Honestly the Ventura era , however long it may last is a breathe of fresh air. The nonsense went on long enough. I'll love watching the kids play , growing pains and all and it looks like we got a few good ones. Time will tell I suppose just how good. They may not be instant contenders but you never know. I'll be watching as usual and I sincerely hope it's heroic deeds on the field by a team that garner headlines instead of an individual. How do you really feel about this team ?
  8. Sox have 6 men with 15+ HR's and 2 pitchers with 15+ W's. Beckham hits 40+ doubles. Viciedo makes us say" Carlos who " ?
  9. One of Dunn's hits was off a lefty too . Went up the middle to the left of 2nd base , so he beat the shift.
  10. Santiago could have a bright future as a starter. He could be the long man with Axlerod and Stewart starting in the minors, or keep Stewart as the long man and start Santiago in the minors. Sox have tons of options when it comes to starting pitching and that's a good thing.
  11. # 92 whoever that is PR for Beckham. Got thrown out stealing. Dunn with a hit.
  12. Fields and Uribe get to Sale. 1st and 3rd 0 outs. Uribe got green light on 3-0 pitch.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 07:17 AM) Look towards the very bottom of the page for the archives. All old game threads are filed under the section for the year they were created. That is where the game threads get put after they are moved. Thanks I knew that but that takes work .
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 07:11 AM) Usually they get filed the next morning, or when discussion dies down. With spring threads not many people post in them, so they tend to get filed faster. If there is a demand for it, we can leave them out longer. They can always be read in the archives, just not posted in. Not many people post in most spring threads . I just like reading them. Sometimes can pick up a tidbit you don't find anywhere else.
  15. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 28, 2012 -> 05:45 AM) There was a thread but it was already archived, but hey good looking out I wish they'd leave game threads up for at least a week . Why so quick to archive them ?
