7/4 Independence Day Porta Potty Bowl: Sox at Rox 7:10 CDT
Unlike Fedde he's had MLB success before and although he hasn't pitched since the beginning of the season like Fedde did you just can't step onto a mound and get MLB hitters out for as long and as well as he has without a lot of talent but also the changes he made to more fundamental levels pertaining to his his health. His age shouldn't be a concern for any team looking to bolster their chances of winning in the playoffs. Right now at worst he's a #3 starter on most playoff teams but we are a long way from the playoffs . He should fetch a little more than Fedde did but it's hard to know exactly what Fedde was worth since he was traded In a package deal. Kopech certainly was a big part of that package .

Colson Montgomery to AZ Complex
There's no reason for the talent evaluators on the Sox to be pinning AAAA labels on any productive minor leaguer since any player is capable of reaching unexpected heights. Sure pedigree counts but so does production.Slapping labels on players is much more of a fan thing than it is real talent evaluators who know that baseball talent takes time to develop unlike a lot of instant success of more physical oriented sports like basketball and football. Fans have a difficult time separating their baseball prospect lack of patience with development from the other more instant prospect success sports. Baseball coaches recognize your strengths but basically work with what the players have to improve upon to reach the next level. It's way more of changing sometimes very fundamental things that start in your head not your physical talent. It's way more about thinking the game and approach than it is finding mechanical flaws. But you need people who can combine the mental and physical to truly develop picks more consistently outside of the 1st round that separates good from bad systems.

You're not giving the people who do this for a living much credit if you think it's because of " one hot week".

Colson Montgomery to AZ Complex
With those long levers he's going to get jammed a lot until he proves he can rotate this hips open quickly and keep the ball fair in the air. Or at least get his body out of the way. Pitchers gotta do what they do neutralize strengths and you don't want him barreling it up with thos long arms extended. Some of the best HR hitters can kill you inside when they miss there spot . That HR Baldwin hit yesterday typical down and in breaking pitch off the plate both low and inside that he jumped all over. You pull that, get out in front of it while it's hanging there even in that location and you hit it a long way . Also Colson will be seeing your typical sliders at his back foot, fastballs up and out of the zone and sliders & curves backdoor.

Since May 20th lowest ERA Framber Valdez 1.57 Houser 1.60 Skubal 1.64 Degrom 1.97 Kikuchi 2.05 Funny all the ERA for Houser ,Skubal and Degrom are the same it's just the guy at the top is different.

The one on the post game show had Framber Valdez 1st. So maybe a slightly different time period .

Luckily Houser was pitching not Cannon. I don't think Cannon is going to fair very well in that stadium. He seems to be a flyballs pitcher. However It's not good to underestimate him because he knows what he doing out there. He just doesn't execute it. The command still needs work. Maybe he can give the Sox 5 decent innings . Anything more than 3 runs and I don't trust the offense to step up. But it can happen.

It's more about his body of work since they got him. He's got the lowest 2nd lowest ERA in baseball in the last idk I forget but that part of the post game show should be on YouTube soon under CHSN. Post game shows almost always are . Usually the 1st 20 or so minutes of it.

Watching Colson in the post game show he said he didn't get a good jump on it because he slipped .

Honestly I look at Robert's swing and wish he'd just cut it loose like that but now his swing is so controlled. He looks so stiff up there.

He could be setting himself up for a nice payday if he can finish the year with close to a 3 ERA and a couple nice playoff starts.

Vargas still seems to be having trouble on his throws though. Looking very awkward over there.

I like the fireworks art on Quero's chest protector. 🎇🎆

Rojas must have forgot Vargas lunged on a throw to him before that was low and wide and the next one he bounced over because according to Plesac the setting sun behind 3rd is in the 1st baseman eyes . Should've bounced it again.
