  1. Figures the Blue Jays kick the ball all over the place at Fenway and lose to the Red Sox 7-0.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 07:21 PM) I like it the way it is now. If it rains, so be it. I thought the rain during Game 2 of the Series gave it an amazing vibe. You wouldn't have that with a roof. It also rained during game 5 of the 2005 ALCS in Anaheim no less. (it never rains in southern california) I remember writing a post the next day that was more like an essay using the rain as a symbol washing away the years of suffering or something along those lines. I often want to go back and read it again but the damn search never works.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 11:42 AM) another question....does anyone have audio from the '05 WS radio/tv? Plenty of us have the dvd's which, of course includes audio from the 05 WS.
  4. I know we all have the answers but we're just grasping at straws. Hang in there Sox there are much worse positions to be in at this point.
  5. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 04:45 PM) What do you think the people that go to the games with the people that run on the field think. I'd be embarrassed as hell. They're probably the ones egging him on to do it .
  6. I have DirecTV and neither the Toronto feed or Chicago feed is coming through .
  7. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:46 AM) Well, the White Sox have invaded my dreams last night. I don't remember all of it, but it started with me watching them play in the post season; then some how me, Uribe and Jenks were cruising around on bikes followed by us running into some trouble at a bar, with Uribe pulling out a shotgun and Bobby Jenks growing about twice his size and those two just clearing out mofo's. Pretty wild stuff, let's hope for another White Sox winner so my mind will be in a similarly good state for hopefully another episode of this badass duo. A shotgun and growing twice his size eh ? How Freudian.
  8. Got my good luck Gavin Floyd avatar up so winning is a foregone conclusion.
  9. Now 9-32 when we don't hit a HR. Nice to see BA with the PH ribbie that looked meaningless at the time but turned out to be the game winner. Buerhle pitched a helluva game. Pen almost gave it up.
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 06:45 PM) If I had literally not gone to the bathroom 10 minutes ago, I probably would have just s*** my pants. TMI
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 06:33 PM) The Padres claimed Charlie Haeger. I bet he has a better career than Broadway or Richard. That's 2 pitchers to 1 odds. I'll take that bet. Just what would constitute a better career ?
  12. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 10, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) I just opened my White Sox season ticket holder box-o-stuff. There is a Nick Swisher bobblehead in there. I handed it to my wife and said "get this f***ing thing away from me". Her response, "big Swisher fan ah." I'll take it
  13. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor ?
  14. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:05 PM) Geez...guys are playing like crap again...and came up against a VERY hot team. Times like these I wish I could see some threads back in Sept of '05. I think I'm gonna look at the rest of this year like I did watching the Bears this past Sunday. Didn't expect very much...nor for the whole season...but if they did well...it's all gravy. It was actually a pretty relaxing way to go. I'm tired of being friggin uptight and tense because of "what the Sox did". I think my family's sick of it too. If we do it...we do it. And again...nobody even REMOTELY expected this team to be in this position when the year started. This is how I look at it. Most baseball fans are disappointed every year because only 1 team wins it all. Make the playoffs. Period. Back in whatever. I don't care. The post season is the post season. It's better than sucking. And I've seen plenty of those kind of White Sox teams.
  15. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) Griffey has the body of a 50year old man. Fat gut and an even fatter ass. HAHA at Broadway. He's f***ing terrible. Hey I'm 50 and not fat !!
  16. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) I dont know, but "mild strain" certainly sounds better than "tear." Also, was it ACL or MCL? I have a cold and my ears are all messed. I heard MCL.
