  1. Was that Q in the dugout with the bubblegum bubble stuck to his cap ?
  2. 1st 5 pitches balls for Linebrink. Gets Woods on flyout to center field on 3-2 pitch. Quinlan goes to 3-1 count bounces one up the middle and Sox turn a pretty DP.
  3. Fields at 3rd. Ramirez at short. Uribe at 2nd. Wise in left . Is BA in center ?
  4. Helluva catch JD even though you were running in place. Hate seeing the arm go up under the body like that after he hits the ground.
  5. Camera is on Thome cursing up a storm looking very pissed about being K'ed.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) Frankly I really hope not. Anywho...getting hot in September is a Juan Uribe specialty. True but that certainly bodes well in a fight to be on top. Konerko hot + Uribe hot = missing Q
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 05:18 PM) It was so obvious there was just a different energy with Crede in the game. Eh the energy difference is from being at home as opposed to the road and from sucking and not sucking.
  8. Anyone think Juan could be our starting third baseman in 09' ?
  9. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 05:13 PM) Never hurts to have a good glove with some pop. And a sexy smile as your avatar illustrates.
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) The official word is Q fouled off a pitch from Cliff Lee , wasn't happy he fouled it off and did what he always does : holding the bat in his left hand he basically punches the sweet spot of the bat with his right hand. I saw the exact replay and I didn't notice if it was palm open or closed fist but he probably missed the part of his hand he wanted to hit the bat with coming too close to the wrist. The surgery is the fastest way they can deal with the injury and leaves open the option of returning for the postseason if everything falls into place . Heal well and quickly Q and "GO SOX" . Start off the homestand on the right foot and kick some rookie pitcher ass tonight. After reading quotes from Carlos it was with a closed fist.
  11. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 04:50 PM) It would be nice to break open a 6-7 run lead and wear out the Angel bullpen for the weekend. The Sox NEED this game and hope to beat Lackey tomorrow because Saunders/Richard is basically a forfeit on Sunday. I still don't know why you don't put Egbert on the roster. Can't be a service time issue, the guy is 26 or so. Really ? Which team is basically forfeiting ?
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) Soscia is dopey sometimes. They have a 17 game lead and he's going to burn his bullpen in a game he's clearly going to have a hard time to win. Haven't seen who the Angel's called up but I'm sure they have more than enough arms. He won't be burning his bullpen.
  13. That's why AJ doesnt bunt against Mosely. Angel's broadcast showing reply of 2005 ALCS AJ controversy and the rundown this year involving him.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) Division is ours to "Loose"? Downwhirl sprial ? Try downward spiral
  15. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:33 PM) Minny still has 11 tough games on road before that key series... We still have a shot at this division. Im holding on to hope... This sucks, but we have guys who can still hit for power: Pauly is heating up, Thome has turned it around, JD has been clutch all year, Griffey can get hot, Swisher can get hot again, Alexie has been phenominal, OC has been clutch, AJ has had a great season offensively. We still have a very good lineup.... Its all up to our pitching. If our starters step it up, we get a healthy Linebrink back and if MacDougal has been rejuvinated, than our pen just got a whole heck of a lot better. Call me peter positive, but i believe we still have a shot at it. Couldn't have said it better.
