  1. I'm pretty sure you make up your might about having a chance at a triple before you start high stepping. Plus you don't want to make the 1st out at 3rd base when you are fast and already in scoring position.
  2. Have 20 games a year with bobbleheads given away. Don't even have to be Sox players if that's permissible. Make those 20 games into a mini season ticket plan with the seats in the upper deck on weekend nights . Would sell like crazy and get good attendance on days other than weekends.
  3. We really aren't sure how serious the thread starter is or if he just wanted to pay tribute to Hamilton and post more videos. I'm pretty sure Wegner's post was in jest about trading Colas for him since Mr. Wegner is one of Soxtalk's jesters (in a good relaxed way).
  4. I've been thinking since Harrison's been hot for over a month he should bat 2nd behind Tim. I know Yoyo is lefty against Civale but until Yoan can go on a little streak of games with multiple hits Harrison should bat 2nd with his 30 day .863 OPS. Plus 3 speed guys at the top to avoid DP's as much as possible and make the most of any hits after them. A guy like Vaughn needs to be in the middle of the order not second where he's been too much lately. Score as much as possible in the 1st inning which is before a pitcher gets into a groove and settles in. Scoring in the 1st is a confidence booster for everyone.
  5. A 3 HR game is an oddity for the Sox. Cease was outstanding as was the BP . Robert HR and on base 4/5 with a 3 hit day and a walk. Abreu just keeps on hitting. Eloy still trying to figure it out.
  6. Almost 29 if you want to be accurate. I cannot state strongly enough how important Seby has been. .7 FWar in 22 games and 75 PA. He's getting on base , hitting for average, slugging is good , 137 wRC+, calls a decent game, plays decent defense , pitchers like him. Plus he actually has hit RHP much better than LHP .340 BA 152 wRC+. Grandal is going to have to come out sizzling to beat that. How likely is that ? Grandal may make the Sox worse against RHP and worse defensively.
  7. I was very local about wanting the Sox to resign him because it was a good bet he wasn't going to get 3 years from anyone because of his injury history. I don't know if the Sox would've wanted to beat SF offer or would have to go 3 years to do so but if they weren't willing to offer the QO it seemed clear they weren't going to resign him either. The QO would've made it harder for other teams to sign him and thus easier for the Sox to resign him. BTW Rodon only has to pitch 10 more innings this year to be able to opt out and become a Free Agent next year. SF should be thanking Jerry/Hahn/Bozos every day Rodon didn't get a QO.
  8. Ok he stole the game thread then made a protest thread when there already was one by 2Deep. Scandalous ! ? Rabble Rouser !
  9. Ok this is the official real game thread as opposed to the non game thread dude holding up the imaginary protest sign. Go you White Sox !
  10. It could if given a chance. Look at Gonzales after he got PT with the Giants.
  11. Well actually he could bow out gracefully because of health reasons and I'd actually feel bad for him if true.
  12. He was terrible defensively as a rookie but It's basically the only year you could get an accurate read on his defense. The others don't look that bad in the limited amount of games plus your counting basically a little over 1/3 of an 162 game normal schedule in 2020. Not his fault of course but damn that guy needs to stay on the field or hit well enough to DH permanently. In 2019 he ran ok 1.8 running runs above average, even legged out 2 triples. I'd take 122 games with a .513 slugging from him again some day especially now that the Sox are a good hitting for average team who needs another slugger who could really use a 30 HR guy.
  13. He was pretty good in 2019 as a rookie. 4th in ROY voting and it's easily the season where he had the most PA's.
  14. Lopey puts his finger in the crack of the dike.
  15. It's open but take a look at where he is in the batters box . He looks closer to home and that front leg isn't straddling the LF side of the batters box. I'll give you that it's open but he looks farther from the plate now. Don't think he's on that front toe as much as he is now too.
  16. You watched all of that pretty quick. I have no idea what you are seeing. Your video is 2020 mine is 2019.
  17. This game still within reach of the Cleveland Comeback Cardiac Kids.
  18. He likes to reach for pitches. He's not any good at pulling his hand in unless he gets a juicy floater inside.
  19. Not quite as simple as that since Beiber was throwing a massive amount of strikes. Either they swing early or fall behind in the count and hit with 2 strikes a lot. Maybe they could have got him up to 105 and faced Clase.
