  1. Or something that could actually happen. Doe JR care about him or not? He's already in the HOF. Best thing for JR to do is let him retire with his dignity still in tact and not become part of the circus again or worse.
  2. What's a giant Irishman head ? Please don't pull a McGuire in the stands. No one needs to see that in the flesh !
  3. If Jerry is truly his friend he won't bring him back ever. Jerry do you want to see this ? Tony LaRussa collapses in dugout and passes away despite attempts to revive him. Jerry be a true friend and care about his health. Don't let his blood be on your hands.
  4. I would be remiss if I didn't mention a very key contribution from Abreu who hustled to beat a DP ball, that was overturned by NY ,which would've ended the inning and then Eloy hit the HR to cut the deficit from 4-0 to 4-2. Without that bit of hustle it's likely the Sox lose. Eloy also went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and was the hitting star of the game with the Sox scoring 9 runs on only 8 hits. No one else had more than 1 hit.
  5. Need Eloy's bat so badly though. Sox'll have to cross that bridge when they come to it. Someone else may be injured by the time Timmy gets back. Neither Tim nor Andrus has played 2nd base so if someone does unfortunately I see it being Andrus when Andrus is playing a really good SS. Maybe they can convince Tim it'll be better for his finger to play 2nd base.
  6. Also a very nice move by bringing Vince Velasquez in when the shadows were strong and having him throw nothing but curve balls. Soxtalk was howling about the move but it turned out to be an easy inning for V.V. Speculation is that Graveman was hurt but maybe it was just a savvy move to bring in a guy with a nice curve in the shadows when hitters can't pick up the spin.
  7. Sox also did a nice job scoring runners from 3rd with less less 2 outs with 3 productive outs, 2 from Gavin Sheets and one from Abreu. Sheets 2nd one was the eventual game winner.
  8. When you have Eloy he has to be the DH.
  9. After K'ing the 1st 7 batters of the game the Sox knocked out Luis Castillo with a 4 run inning with the help of Seattle's defense and held on for a 9-6 win with only 3 of their runs being earned . Liam with a perfect 9th for the save ! Sox win the series taking 2 of 3 .
  10. I'd like to thank the Soxtalk fan base for showing up for this game today !!
  11. Great job today getting the runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs !
  12. Bunt offense and uncharacteristic bad defense all game from the M's.
  13. Zavala bunt or play for the big inning ?
  14. Let's go Josh stick it in that big hole between 1st and 2nd
  15. Vaughn and now Eloy out of the game. Need a run this inning.
  16. Sheets should get a good look at this guy. Someone get on.
