I'd be more worried about the state of mind of his players. Any competitor doesn't want to surrender after what happened yesterday especially in the game following. I wouldn''t care so much about giving Tim the 2nd game off even with the off day tomorrow but the only chance to sweep the DH is to win the 1st game and have some fire in your belly.

TLR benched Tim instead. Even if you take race out of the equation, it's sports and you need to have a fire to compete and win to avenge yesterdays loss and insult immediately. No backing down ! If the Sox lose both games it will totally suck and I will blame TLR for sitting Tim in the 1st game . This 1st game after yesterdays game should be looked at as a statement game. TLR is making a statement . I am afraid !

I agree if there is any game Tim should be playing it's the game after yesterday. It looks like you are backing down and taking your best player out of the lineup. TLR must go. Can't imagine this was Tim's idea. I don't usually complain about lineups but Tim's presence makes a statement and so does his absence . We are not going to back down from intolerance or we are backing down from intolerance and allow ourselves to be victimized.

He also hasn't had a walk in his last 30 games so he can do that from the bottom of the order. Top of the order should be reserved for on base guys.

LOL it's called thinking outside the box. Even I thought it was strange I thought that. You read Future Sox and participate there as much as anyone and that's great, but you also know he's had some trouble adjusting to a new higher levels. I just want his transition to AAA, when it comes, to go a lot smoother and I thought a fellow country could accomplish that. I don't find that very absurd. It's certainly better to me than speculating about Helms' misdeeds.

Whenever someone says Ozzie should manage the Sox I'm usually one of the guys who says No WAY ! because of him quitting on the team. That's why I said my thought about him managing Charlotte was odd. Only under the circumstances that he could help Sosa would I allow him to manage at AAA. I don't want to see Sosa traded at the deadline. They need a manager at AAA and it should be a Latin guy so I wouldn't have a problem with Ozzie treating Sosa as a special project while managing the team.

He seems to be the only one who knows so many off speed pitches are coming. Tim too of course.
