  1. Or getting thrown out at home which we also are great at.2nd base is considered scoring position. Can't score on a single from 2nd base and keep getting thrown out at home.
  2. I've watched them being bad at OBP and slugging this year but a few more HR's and extra base hits would be better than a few more walks. They have the most singles in the league by far but it's not translating to runs . More walks with those singles would mean some runs here and there but more HR's and extra base hits drive in more runs. Big innings happen with extra base hits. Throw 2 walks and 2 singles with a DP in between doesn't get you much with a bunch of base cloggers.1 walk 2 singles a DP plus a HR gets you more assuming the inning doesn't end on a DP.
  3. It's basically my objection with how WAR places a bit too much emphasis on walks and fielding. I believe slugging percentage is a better indicator of hitting ability.
  4. He was a good player last year. Very good is a stretch. Fielding very good, hitting you could say he was very good too but I'm not convinced while an OBP of .375 is very good when you combine it with only a .412 slugging and .148 ISO . His ISO has dropped every year lower and lower since the high point of 2019. His hit tool hasn't been good except 2019.
  5. Ding Ding Ding and that's why those balls hit by Robert and Zavala traveled an estimated length of longer than 398 ( 402 and 405 .)
  6. If it barely clears the wall at the 398 ft mark and statcast measures it at 410 then what do you say ?
  7. Maybe the 398 ft is measured along the ground to the bottom of the fence.
  8. Colas , Cespedes would change that. Both have outstanding arms as does Adolfo.
  9. A couple of decent lefties in the lineup might've helped.
  10. Penty of teans able to put a lot of LHH into their lineups against the Sox, yet Hahn can't ever find any.
  11. I've been saying the Sox should be trying to get Santander for 2 years.
  12. Season high in pitches for Voth. Na nana na hey hey hey goodbye
  13. BVottom of the order sucks. Harrison has needed a rest . Why not Romy and Perez ?
  14. Should've happened before the rebuild. And JR needs to butt out.
  15. I didn't say he'd be playing for the Sox. But to answer your question... Does it really matter ?
  16. Grandal too many injuries to catch Vaughn to slow for OF, Abreu still at 1st base Eloy plays dead more than he plays the field. I'll throw in Sheets since the other guy didn't. Another non OF.
  17. Luckily it's only his 2nd year and he's improved a lot and maybe next year he'll improve again playing 1st base .
  18. Lets not forget with men on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out . TLR could've hit Sheets for Harrison vs. a RH.
  19. Jimi Hendrix post followed by a Hey Joe post totally unintentional !
