  1. Tim just stood and watched that one. He might've had a better shot at it than Vaughn.
  2. Just slather on the good old Icy Hot or Tiger Balm on shoulders, elbows, knees ,calves, thighs, and back. That'll keep you warm and muscles relaxed. Will also make for a lovely smelling training room , club house and dugout ! Probably will help avoid injuries too. I'd have a metric ton of that stuff around and make sure the guys used it in the cold always.
  3. I appreciate all the fans in attendance and they can woo or wave and vocally show their support any way they want to.
  4. OK men when the DP ball comes try not to screw it up.
  5. LOL it was 403 then the wind pushed it back to 365 ? ?
  6. True but he is limiting hard contact when a big hit by the Royals would've broke it open.
  7. That throw Abreu just missed was the same type of throw I would miss once in a while. Of course I was 50 yrs old and playing 12" softball . I finally figured out why I was missing those when I was really good on scoops out of the dirt. My glasses where bifocals and those low throws went from in the normal vision part of my glasses into the bifocals part.?
  8. Amen brother ! It's honestly alarming that TLR is such a huge scapegoat to the point that people rather get rid of him than have the players excel enough to win. The team has many injuries, they aren't scoring any runs and have been on the road more than they have been at home. Kopech has been very good. The relief pitching for the most part has done well. McGuire is a competent catcher . Gio pitched well in his return. As bad as the Sox have looked any time in the next 4 months the Sox could go 40-15 with Robert , Moncada,Vaughn ,Anderson ,Abreu, Grandal, Pollock and Sheets crushing it .
  9. LOL Totally impartial . I like it. But that's the wrong option. Winning trumps all. I want the players to play well more than I want the Sox to play bad just because I want LaRussa out the door. The owner is still JR and the GM is still Hahn and the Sox will continue to Sox without TLR. LaRussa is just a tree and the whole forest is infected to the roots.
  10. Greg , the Sox would not be mocked for firing TLR. Just like a player who has lost the physical gifts that once made them great, TLR is no longer able to put that HOF ego behind and manage with any sort of competence. He is a relic , a fossil from a bygone era, exhumed from the tar pits of Reinsdorf's mind.
  11. Great to see . After his AA and AZ league performances I got on the Yolbert train. I always have preferred a good glove and hoping the bat comes around rather than an all hit, no glove type. If you can develop the hit or on base tool you become much more valuable than a guy you can't count on to improve his fielding.
  12. If you consider that if LaRussa is fired , wouldn't the Sox have to eat some part of his contract ? IF that were to happen they would probably want to save money by hiring Jirschele rather than pay for a big name . McEwing of course isn't a big name and but if Jirschele was hired McEwing might also be out the door.
  13. Nice Ken Berry avatar !
