  1. Every 2nd baseman seems to struggle at 1st. Madrigal took a lot of grief for his base running and fielding but they improved in his injury shortened yr. in 2021 to where he was a positive in both. The whole right side is harder to play then the left side since RH hitters going oppo put more spin on the balls going that way since RH batters are much more prevalent than LH batters who hit the ball on the ground to the left side.
  2. 2 days off sucks for fans but great for Giolito and Pollock. But Doubleheaders also suck because 2 games in 1 day for some of the players is just begging for more injuries with the tightened schedule getting even tighter.
  3. I believe he was making a joke about human balls.
  4. I'm old and old school. I don't think I'll live any more years drinking bottled water than drinking tap water or from a water fountain. Paying for bottled water seemed really strange when they 1st started doing it. Heck we drank out of hoses enough when we were kids .We have no idea if that water is actually any better and haven't there been quite a few lawsuits regarding bottled water ?
  5. My nun in 8th grade played the Broadway version of JC for her classes as she did for my brother 2 yrs. before me . Loved it since then.
  6. DO you have a Catholic Schhol education like me or just like the musical or perhaps both like me ?
  7. Why should you want to know? Don't you mind about the future? Don't you try to think ahead? Save tomorrow for tomorrow Think about today instead
  8. We'll take it. Somebody hit your grannie !
  9. Robbed Timmy of a HR that Josh Lowe mf !
  10. Feyereisen was pretty good against the Sox last year.
  11. It's fun to rack up emoji pts. by making fun of others isn't it ? At least caulfield was talking baseball. You know the thing a White Sox message board was meant to do. What exactly is so miserable about saying other teams might have something to say about Seattle's playoff chances ? He never said he wasn't optimstic because of beating Seattle. You actually seem to be the miserable one. One of the wolfpack of posters who pile on the guys everyone piles on like caulfield and Parkman. Makes you feel like a man I guess, running with the pack and taking bites out of people.
  12. He has made some good moves. He's running more which is what I was begging for last year. He's trying to keep Abreu from hitting into the DPs. You cant argue about BP usage very much because overall, despite the new arms like Crick, Sousa,Banks, Severino and the guys we had last year Foster , Ruiz, Lopez, Bummer, Hendriks only Bummer is looking bad while Hendriks is just a little off. Graveman is looking nails. Some have said it seems like we are shifting more , though I have no idea if its true. There's probably shifting info located somewhere online. Starting pitching has been above average. We get the daily Leury and lineup construction complaints but the results are good so far. Actually really good especially the pitching staff which is kind of shocking given the new arms and injuries. For the 1st 8 games there's not much to cry about.
  13. I think defense is way more important than a lot of people think. It would probably downgrade defense at both 2nd and 3rd base .TB wins a lot on a shoestring budget because they play good D usually and put a lot of lefties in their lineup which is all fueled by phenomenal drafting and development and restocking the farm the minute someone gets pricey. If the Rays had Moncada they would probably be trading him in the next year or so.
  14. I saw that, very nice, but do you really want him to go 7 ? Aren't you worried at all that he won't enough left for the playoffs ?
  15. I actually said the same thing about Conforto pretty early in the off season. But I will have to disagree about Rodon. Sometimes you have to take a gamble and the gamble on Rodon was not overly expensive. A real gamble is signing a great 29 yr old pitcher to a 6 yr $150M contract except there wasn't a great 29 yr old pitcher available except Rodon who because of his injury history was available. You rarely have an opportunity to nab a great player for so cheap . My reasoning always has been look what he did last year when he hardly pitched at all the previous 2 years . And now that he has those 150 innings under his belt, with better mechanics and a better idea of who he is , imagine him at near full strength.
  16. Top 3 starting pitchers Rodon, Lynn and Giolito , which just goes to show you that any pitcher can get hurt but what you want to do is have more good pitchers to overcome one or 2 guys going down. What's comical is you shilling for the front office after a week of games when injury problems and starting pitching depth typically manifests over a longer period of time . Thrilled about having a good early record. Not thrilled about the starting pitching depth and apparently neither are the Sox since they did make attempts to improve the depth if the rumors about Manaea were true.
