Nah everyone doesn't see stuff in their lottery tickets. I hate the lotto ticket analogy because a ticket is an inanimate object where all of them have the same poor chance of winning. We dont scout tickets with talented scouts like Paddy and have to pay more for the ticket than another buyer and do background checks or watch a ticket for months before we pay for it. Why hire Paddy if his talent evaluations are just lottery tickets ?

Exactly .All this crap about him still being in the minors or not being as good is pure crazy speculation still thinking the Sox cant develop elite talent that had a strong pedigree. The Sox trading Tatis is the definition of looking a gift horse in the mouth. He was gifted to them because either not a lot of teams had the INTL funds to get him or didnt believe in his talent as much as Tatis Sr has said Marco Paddy did. They gave him away because they paid 700k for him and was getting back $31M in salary from the Padres for an old pitcher getting thrashed in the NL with another couple years on his contract. What a windfall ! CA-CHING CA-CHING!!

Someone like Abreu and Encarnacion needs to step up too publicly and start by including themselves for the funk. Abreu can say "I've hit the ball hard but I have to have better AB s and trust the guys behind me. I believe in these guys and this team but we all have to prove we are winners. I have come up with a lot of guys on base and I haven't got the job done." -
Certainly the Sox trade of Tatis had a big financial side to it also. Shields was a pitcher who had just been pounded by NL lineups recently and then pummeled by the owner. You would have thought this would give the Sox the upper hand in a trade or even made then think twice about a guy getting lit up in the NL with one less hitter to face. instead the Sox appeared desperate giving up not a lottery ticket which is pure luck but a skilled young player who obviously had skills because they gave him $1M . If the Pads weren't willing to pay down Sheids salary without Tatis and with the NL and his owner shitting all over him Hahbn should have looked elsewhere. He just got fleeced and we all knew it not because of Tatis hindsight but because Shields was bad.

So who's the next manager?

Here u go again. There is no discrimination against his body. He just isnt a good fielder .Sox already have so many DH/C/1B types that even the LH Collins only gets minimal ABs. -

Caulfield is like super well informed, knows a lot on a lot of subjects but thoughts seem scattered and it shows in his posts when he references stuff half the board has no idea what he's talking about and it comes across as scatterbrained or at the least just showing off his knowledge. He cant help but throw out tons of names in most posts and yet all this knowledge and he still posts mixing in grand conjecture with facts fabricating and mixing truth with fiction. Seems like a good guy . If he could just post on Sox stuff and not mix in politics and focus his thoughts he'd be an awesome poster. BUt as some like to say " Caulfield gonna Caulfield" . Who knows if he is actually right about AJ broadcasting for the Twins even part time. -

I would like to add that if you are going to rest guys do it as much as possible against non division teams at least in a normal season. I realize this season is mostly division opponents on the schedule . These losses against division opponents hurt the most. I know the Sox have lost players and it sucks. 2 more taken out last night in Leury and Abreu the day before Anderson and Encarnacion are due back. Madrigal out , Mazara missed time and still looks off. Rodon, Lambert , Bummer who else besides Kopech am I missing who is injured ? That's a lot of guys to lose. Weird that we are in this terrible hitting slump and we're supposed to have all these good hitters , more lefthandedness , more power , more OBP but now the hitting with RISP is comically bad. This has to be the low point of the season.Even with the 1-4 start we knew it was early but now we're nearing 33% done and the bad luck is just piling up and a bad manager is not changing our luck. He needs to get on the umps, get on his players. Tell them they are playing like a big steaming pile of rhino shit. Tell them they have to prove they are good. Stop tallking the talk and walk the walk. You all wanted swag , great you got it. I'll take W's. At least I can't blame Yermin. Probably could single handedly bust the Sox out of their hitting doldrums. ? -
He does need to get out there for any reason . Somebody show some fire. Dont need no nice guy following protocol so no face to face screaming at the umps.

DID Eloy change his stance that AB. He looked square for once in the box instead of open.

Hey Sox ya can't keep hitting the snooze button cuz that's all you're hitting.
