I'm currently reading "The Boys of Summer" by Roger Kahn and have really enjoyed it thus far. It's about a writer's experience covering the 1950s Dodgers, focusing on some of the key players like Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Roy Campanella, etc. The second half is about their lives after baseball.

The list should be right. I think Bobby had a death in the family which is why he didn't come.

-Mike Jackson. Who remembers him from '04, I think? Such a waste of roster space. -Jose Paniagua. He lost us the division in '03 and I'm still sticking to that story. -Matt Thornton. It seemed like EVERY game I went to last season, he surrendered the game winning run. Every game.

I think that this is a good move after all the time and money they put in for him. It seems like now he finally might reach his top form and succeed in the bullpen, atleast.

This is my favorite thread this off season. And I voted for Brian Anderson after the cub brawl where he pummeled John Mabry. The kid is smaller but he can do some damage if he's angry.

They should have included his Buck Showalter quote.

Anyone remember Felix Diaz starting the third game of the Cubs/Sox series at the cell? I think it was in '04 and the team was down 2 games also. It kind of reminds me of that. Maybe Masset will hold his own.

I'm going to miss the game again. I hate work. GO JAVY. GO SOX.

So, during Dye's last at bat they got a close shot of Weaver getting the sign, and he had his hand behind his back and it totally looked like there was something on the top of his hand. Kenny Rogers-ish, I swearr. Did anyone else catch that? Maybe I was just seeing things.
