  1. My favorite Big Ten team is Indiana. My second favorite Big Team is Northwestern. Today was not pleasant.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 1, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) I hope ESPN and others keep moving OSU down. Love to see them hyping teams we most likely match up against nicely. I just generally prefer to be the underdog.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 1, 2013 -> 07:15 AM) Ought to be a fun year for him at Marion. I wonder if they win state again this year? Is Marion in the same class/division as North Central, Lawrence North, etc.?
  4. Wow, didn't expect Blackmon to come back to IU. That's great, he's supposed to be a phenomenal shooter.
  5. Damn, I really wanted Robinson. I think he's going to be a stud. 2014 not looking so hot; I'm not sure what to expect with Johnson. I'm really hoping for Malachi Richardson in the 2015 class.
  6. Aargh. What a terrible final 8 minutes to that game. Two awful interceptions. You want to start making a name for yourself? Start performing when it matters. That game was totally winnable for IU. Games against Minnesota and Illinois, both at home, coming up after the bye week. Better win both of those.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 05:30 PM) Lol he has over 300 yards and they completely forgot about him on that play. Seriously. Apparently 405 yards is the single game FBS receiving record...I would be surprised at this point if Gallon DOESN'T break it. He's at 343.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 05:19 PM) Fun game to watch, defense absent. Pretty much. Gallon with a historic day. What a catch by Hughes on that last TD, should have been a pick. WHY THE HELL IS JEREMY GALLON THAT WIDE OPEN
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:46 AM) The game is in Ann Arbor. Michigan in a rout. Just read that it's the smallest point spread for this matchup in a decade (8.5).
  10. QUOTE (MEANS @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 01:59 PM) I'd rather use a site like Metacritic to get a better feel on an album, Pitchfork always seemed to me to be "too cool" to take an objective listen to most albums, like they made up their mind on a bands album before listening just because they deemed them uncool. Also the vibe I get from Pitchfork. There was a time when they were useful, but not anymore, to me.
  11. Nice to see Schwarber getting love.
  12. I'm sure this will end with us losing by 50, but for some reason I have a good feeling about the IU-Michigan game this weekend.
  13. Maybe they're not as bad as Purdue in this regard, but this will definitely affect Wisconsin.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 07:40 AM) Anything about elimination of undercutting guys and taking charges? "Another rule that should clearly benefit the offense and is likely to increase scoring is the block-charge call, which now states that a defensive player is not permitted to move into the path of an offensive player once he has begun his upward motion with the ball to attempt a field goal or a pass. Previously, the player had to be in legal guarding position when the offensive player lifted off the floor. "There will be no more flopping," Calipari said. Adams said that the referees get more than 90 percent of all calls correct, but that number was at about 65 percent last season with regard to block-charge calls. "It's a tough play and it happens incredibly quickly," Adams said. "A big reason for the change was aimed to help the officials get the call right." Not only will it give the referees a little more time, but it should also favor the offensive player."
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 10, 2013 -> 01:35 AM) Will be at the game tomorrow. First Bears game (at Soldier Field, went to Champaign way back when) Oh wow, that was over a decade ago now, wasn't it? 2002 I think. Henry Burris started the final game, hahahahaha.

Andre trying to get Ellie into the van was fantastic.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 09:35 AM) There is some good ball up north as well. The fans just dont care, the stadium was half full for their first ever victory vs PSU. There was a very popular shirt at IU that said "We don't have football games, we have tailgates." The only thing that can begin to change that attitude is consistently being at least 8-4. I went to all the football games (and stayed for the whole game!) when I was at IU, but I was definitely in the minority.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 09:48 AM) Look at OSU's schedule though. Other than Michigan, I'd say Holtz is right. They play Iowa, Penn State, @ Purdue, @ Illinois, Indiana, @ Michigan. Given that, I agree it's the second toughest behind @Michigan.
  19. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 06:39 AM) Indiana's offense is pretty dang good, once again. Sudfeld will be playing on Sundays IMO. The defense played better than I have ever seen. Hard to believe they lose I think 2 starters to graduation. Make a bowl this year, and Indiana should be a top 25 level team next year. I can't believe I just typed that. Also heard Lou Holtz say Indiana will be Ohio States toughest matchup this year. LOL hard to believe, but I guess it was one heck of a game last season. Doesn't seem like that would be true, though I suppose IU has played them tough the past two years (52-49 loss last year, tied at halftime the year before when IU went 1-11).
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 04:18 PM) Yeah, WTF? I wasn't even checking the game at all yesterday then the score popped up on my phone and I figured it was a mistake. It was 21-17 early in the 4th quarter. Roberson ran one in to make it 28-17. Defense made a stop, then Kofi Hughes made a fantastic sliding catch for a touchdown. On the ensuing kickoff, Penn State fumbled and IU recovered, and Tre Roberson ran it in 10 yards on the first play to make it 42-17 with 10:32 left. Everyone was just kinda stunned.
  21. IU won! For the first time ever against Penn State. And it was by 20. Oh yes! QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 11:20 PM) I -think- he got it, but no angle was indisputable. I thought the sideline judge running to the play from the top of the screen was all over the place when he ran onto the field, I had no idea where it was going to be spotted. My thoughts exactly.
  22. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 03:29 PM) Sounds like Trevon Blueitt is decommitting from UCLA. Are kids from Indiana just raised to not honor their commitments? Whoa that's weird since his former high school coach is an assistant at UCLA.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2013 -> 08:10 AM) There is no clearer statement to how absurd your arguments are than you have Balta and I on the same side. Seriously if that doesn't make you reexamine, I don't know what will.

Curious where Homeland is going to go this season.
