  1. QUOTE (Hawk09 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 05:41 AM) They flashed Warrens numbers in the minors this year during the game today....99 hits and 27 walks in 89 innings. Sox need to welcome him rudely to the big leagues in his first MLB start. Kuroda has been good this year and Nova is 9-2,so no picnic, but it sure beats facing CC and Pettitte. I agree but then again we have never faced the guy. Sometimes it seems that a guy could be a 90 year oldster/prospect but the first time we see him he becomes Cy Young(ster)
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) He has had control issues in the past that kept him from breaking out. This year his BB/9 has dropped to 4.7 from a career average of 7.3, and his H/9 has dropped to 4.2 from a career average of 7.0, while his K/9 has stayed at 11.6, which is over his average of 10.6. I am sure we will see for ourselves this weekend just what kind of LH relief help he is. I know some might be uncomfortable with the bullpen youth, but I kind of like the fact we are able to bring up our own talent and not have to trade it away for help
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) Just to point out...whoever comes up, this means the Sox bullpen will include: Jones Reed Santiago Axelrod Whoever is called up. In addition to: Crain Thornton Bruney. That is one f***ing young bullpen. Always a concern when you are battling for a pennant for sure. Maybe they are just so young they don't know they are not supposed to perform well?
  4. Two votes. This poll is like Chicago Politics
  5. My prediction is the Yankees can be beaten. Enuf said
  6. This game was closer than it should have been. I was beginning to sweat with Ohman in there
  7. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Alex Rios current favorite band is Foster the People. I like that band too
  8. WGN-. See you all behind the big screen
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 03:21 AM) Preferably when the ball is in the zone, instead of eight inches out of it. Yes sir
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 03:21 AM) He has no confidence at the plate For a big time homer hitter that is pretty bad. Reminds me of last year with him
  11. Then gain maybe it would be better at this point to just stand there. That's 6K's in the last 8 at bats
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 03:12 AM) I have no clue how, but compliments on the game Gavin. You have to have faith is all
  13. QUOTE (hawksox13 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 08:24 PM) If Beckham is so weak in the head that he can't handle being moved from 2nd to 9th in the lineup then he'll likely never meet the potential that we all initially thought he had. See the ball, hit the ball, regardless of your spot in the lineup. Let's not get carried away here. Beckham hasn't complained or said anything other then he will play wherever they tell him to
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 07:03 PM) That could also be frustrated because of the pain. Like I said, it was pure speculation, but the look on his face after the jam shot to short looked like pain, not pissed. I see what ypou are seeing. It is not a mental thing IMO. If the wrist hurts it hurts. The swings that big league ball players take puts a lot of stress on the hands and wrists. Maybe sitting for a few days would help but tyhey want PK at the All-Star game
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) f*** THE TWINS AND THEIR TWINLINESS! I sure don't like that team and never have. Go Sox. But, have we faced this guy before?
  16. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 05:50 PM) One thing we don't have on the bench is a hitter. Maybe Johnson is a AAAA hitter having a career year? That's worth a spot on the bench just to find out. He plays first base right? He just might get called up if PK goes on the DL because of that sore wrist. Johnson either DH's or plays 1B depending on what they do with Dunn. PK to the DL is speculation on my part but that wrist sems to be bothering him and he might need some rest
  17. I think it is sore. He doesn';t seem to be getting the real good swings on it and wants to guide it some. Hawk made mention of it on Sunday that PK's wrist was sore. He is trying to play through it but you wonder if a DL trip is needed?
  18. A power hitter like Dunn will go into slumps. He sure is in one now. He can carry this team for awhile if he starts getting hot and hits the dingers. I would be more concerned about Konerko and his hand right now
  19. The President is a true White Sox fan. He takes his stand in baseball as well as politics. I like the guy
  20. Be good when Dunn breaks his slump. But, good for Youkilis to ger that first hit
