Ozzie should get booed as he walks to the mound. He certainly got his ass handed to him tonight.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) I hate this offense when Danks pitches. That guy gets screwed by the offense more than any player I can remember. Seriously...god forbid they score more than 3, 4 or 5 runs when he pitches.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 08:31 PM) Feels like it wiped out the momentum..big inning for Danks here with bottom of the order. Sure did....big time...
-
Well that was a possible big inning shot in the ass......

Good god...TB must be getting some great pitching because you look at that lineup and it's like WTF.....

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 04:27 PM) I am hping to pick up the Saturday game on FOX as long as they don't get their critical thinking messed up and show the Dodgers or Cards. Sunday is on TBS. Fox dicks me another Saturday. Honestly...if they're regionizing broadcasts...I can see blacking it out in that area but not for Extra Innings. Last weekend they had the Sox/Oakland...and for some stupid reason had the Angels too.

I'd hate to see DJ just get shown the door and all...and not sure if he'd want to do this or not...but if the Sox are serious about this move just switch Stone and DJ. For as sick as I get listening to DJ polly-parrot Hawk a lot of times...having Extra-Innings and listening to some of these other guys makes me say "he ain't THAT bad".... Stoney belongs on TV though. He'd pretty much keep Hawk reeled in from going off on his nostalgia stories inning after inning.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Uhh... I don't know, he's probably just messing with us. Hall said he was fine last night. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnerId=rss_cws /shrug He won't be if he doesn't knock off the shaving cream s***... I think if he tries it again with Carlos...CQ's gonna break his arm.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) The White Sox are a real good team and alot of fun to watch And ya know...like most here know and Hawk says...they still haven't played their best baseball yet. -
The Swish solo-celebration after his dinger was the greatest! I'm still laughin' about that.......

OK...I say we bring this one out in the open in regards to the brain fart in the 1st. I've had a discussion with another member via PMs...but yet in a condescending manner was told I'm a complete idiot. The play...ground ball back to Mark. OC converging on 2nd with Lexi as well. Technically I think OC has the better shot but pulls up for some reason from my view. I understand there needed to be communication there before the play started as to who's covering...but Mark did what he's supposed to do and throws at the base since it seemed both were getting there (and a great throw too btw). But to say he threw to the wrong guy?!?! Anybody else want to chime in and not sound like a condescending @#$%......

8/18 - Mariners vs. @ White Sox 7:11 PM CDT - CSN

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 06:43 PM) Mark was throwing towards Alexei, there's no such thing as throwing to the bag on a double play. Cabrera wasn't even there in time to get the throw, if it was to Cabrera, Mark would have had to have waited a touch longer. My last comment on this. Yer funny...did you even play/pitch? Dude...you're not leading a WR on an out pattern...or a pitcher covering 1st. Also what fathom said...Mark should have made sure...but you throw to the bag. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 06:31 PM) No, not kidding. You actually don't throw it in a line over the bag, you throw to the guy covering the bag, to one side or the other as he's arriving. It's all about timing on a double play, as a result you are throwing to a guy, not just to a bag. Mark thought Alexei had the coverage, you can see it from his head and his throw. Somewhere the communication was messed, or the wrong guy covered, or Mark just drew a blank when he whirled. We're all lacking enough information to place exact blame, end of story. No....you don't. You throw to the line. That's what you're taught from Little League on...it's the SS play and he was there. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 18, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) Buehrle threw the ball the wrong guy, either Mark screwed up or there wasn't the necessary pre at bat communication. Wrong guy?!?...you're friggin kidding right? He threw it right where he was supposed to...on a line right over the bag. -

I always liked... 70's: Cy Acosta Luis Alvarado Franky Barrios Bill Nahorodny (I loved hearing Harry say his name) 80's: Rudy Law Scott Fletcher One Dawg... I always like Radinsky too.... -
Wasn't it just nice to enjoy a game without using 50 expletives watching it and just relaxing???? Javy seems to have found a nice rythm. We'll need him badly down the stretch.

Tell ya what...this is the FIRST place I log on to for any Sox news. People on here are pretty friggin knowledgable and up to date. Sure...many people use this place also to vent all their frustrations with the team and tend to be negative when things go bad...but take it with a grain of salt dude. You won't find another site with better information and insight IMO. I love reading everybody's different insights. Some are spot on IMO...some a completely off the wall. But it's all good. Join in and enjoy is my recommendation. btw...the guys that run this site do a hell of a job.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2008 -> 11:01 PM) I'd like to see him go at least 6 innings against a bad hitting team. He "deserved" to give up like 5 runs tonight. However, it's a testament to how far he's come this year. Last year, we would have been happier than hell for him to go 5 2/3-1 ER. I'd like to see us actually learn how to pitch to friggin Cust who seems to be the only guy on that team that hurts us consistantly (besides Street). AJ was terrible calling the game tonight in critical situations too IMO. s***...now I'm gonna have to go to bed pissed off. I'll have a crappy night's sleep. I won't enjoy the sports page tomorrow morning. And on top of that I'll get f***ed out of tomorrow's game because I think it's FOX. Good thing I don't have a dog or I'd probably kick it in the ass about right now.
