Sorry...disagree. A young 23 year old talented big man that can shoot...and hits the glass well...and you say he's not a core player?!? wow. If he's possibly starting now (liked that look last night...but know it won't last)...but if he's 6th man off the bench...that's not core? It'd be idiotic to let him walk for nothing. I don't think he's as bad as people are saying either. Plus...what's the alternative?...let him walk for nothing? See what bones you can get in a trade midseason. He's still relatively young...and you can't teach size...or the fact he's drilling 3s from the outside which opens up a lot not just for him but the O.

Jordan could still have controlled anything he wanted to back then...regardless whether it was the 90's or not. The thing most are missing here...Butler wasn't staying in Minnesota regardless of if they were decent or not. He had a few destinations he wanted to be at (and LA was first and foremost)...but there was no way in hell he was ever going to re-up in Minnesota regardless how good Wiggins or KAT were. He's just trying to get to his destination to make him eligible for a max. He wasn't taking the Minny max...ever.

The Suns owner (Sarver) is a complete moron and sticks his face into too many thing and ends up making this 10x worse. McDonough probably told him to butt out of something or to shove it for some reason. This is the same owner that hired Earl Watson as a Head Coach...and gave the job to an unqualified Lindsey Hunter instead of Dan Majerle when he let Alvin Gentry go. He's got to be one of THE WORST owners in the league.

Stop me if you've heard this story before...Illini in final 3 for Quincy Guerrier. In home visit today...and OV tomorrow. Apparently he hasn't committed yet to Oregon or Syracuse...so that's a good thing. This guy is a top 50 wing and would be a massive get for the Illini. Wonder if that's why Shannon hasn't committed yet? But if the Illini do land Guerrier...and one of the bigs Tshiebwe, Cockburn, Timme, Jitoboh or Tre Mitchell...this will be a very very good team next year. Losing what seemed to be a lock to Illinois Kahlil Whitney really sucked.
