I don't know...I've been out there a handful of times to Qualcomm for games and always seemed like a great crowd. Didn't San Diego State take it over? Needs to be overhauled for sure...but it wasn't that awful bad. Just doesn't seem right the Chargers aren't in SD anymore IMO. LA can support one team...and happy to have the Rams back (where they should be)...but not two teams. Bad choice all the way around.

San Diego was/is a great market and the fan base was pretty big. It's a travesty that they left honestly. There were ways of getting this done IMO...and it should have been. Hell...they could have gotten it done in a handful of years with a slight tourism tax. speaking of SD...if you're ever in San Diego on Sunday during football season and want to catch a Bears game I HIGHLY recommend 710 Beach Club. Better get there VERY early tho. Great little Chicago sports bar right next to Crystal Pier.

I honestly think it's a smart move and wish all sports message boards took this leap. Another board I'm on dropped it for a bit...then brought it back and honestly all it does is stir bad blood. Times we live in I guess. Good lord...the responses on Facebook or news pages are bad enough. One of the reasons I dropped Facebook (I have a fake/burner page now and don't follow any people). But the vitriol is ridiculous. Each side digs in and won't back down thinking "their news source" is the accurate one lol. It's tribalism at it's best. Personally...I think that's how our "leaders" want it...keep the masses at each other's throats...and it keeps them in business. Plus...I can't imagine having to moderate that bullshit. Anyway...I applaud the move.

No I wasn't satisfied because of a goddamn penalty! "the woulda scored"...guess want they friggin didn't!!!! So yeah...it's not hard to complain...especially counting how many "illegal formation" penalties they've had this year...or the fact how hard it is to pass in tighter areas down there...or risk a higher probability of a holding penalty. If you're not confident enough with your line...or workhorse RB to get 3 goddamn yards with 1st and goal...not sure wtf to tell ya. Again...not saying it wasn't a weak call...but I'm of the mindset to pound the rock in that position.

I agree. I tend to overreact but it's been so goddamn long that the Bears have been relevant....I'm hungry. I think the Mack trade raised the bar and his play the first 4 games proved that. Before...nobody really expected much from this team...just improvement as a team and from Trubisky. I've been happy with both.

I got the fact you were being sarcastic...so I guess my post earlier was sarcastic too. Not downplaying people with actual issues...but with my gal being a 1st grade teacher all i hear about is about a third of her classes every year has these neurotic parents who want to "diagnose" their kids behavior as ADD or ADHD and immediately start shoving pills down their throat...and of course then you have quack medical and counseling personnel who see them as $$$$. So yeah...I'm pretty skeptical loosely throwing that term around. Doesn't mean people don't suffer from it...it's just an overused/abused term IMO.

overall agree. Both fumbles hurt...missing a wide open Miller in the 1st quarter could have changed the entire dynamic of the 1st half. But one that that really sticks in my craw...the INT that Trubisky threw (could have had a couple other too from boneheaded decisions). It's not so much the INT...but they had the ball 1st and goal at the 3. Pound the friggin rock in with Howard and quit getting cute all the time. You score there you're up 28-13. Instead the 10 yard penalty (I still think iffy at best call) and then the INT.

yeah...I kinda find it inappropriate. But I also find in today's world there's always a "diagnosis" for behavior. Just because someone has mental lapses sometimes...all of a sudden it's ADD?!? Or someone is overly focused on task at hand they're OCD. Gimme a break. I'm not fond of Levine implying this honestly...

yeah...for as underwhelming as the 1st base group was...this one is even worse. Agree with the above statement addressing the position without Burger. Anything from him in the next few years will be gravy...but not expecting too much. There was an interesting comment in the draft thread tho...there was a comment that speculated Andrew Vaughn was athletic enough to play 3rd base. Hell...if Burger can...I'd think Vaughn could? That being said...it'll be interesting to see how Brohm, India and Gorman develop the next few years just for comparison sake.

i'm not assuming crap. what I've been saying is he gets cute on 1st and goals inside the 5....but when you need another 10-15 yards for a decent FG distance...he goes all John Fox on a fresh set of downs. Not assuming anything...but didn't think at that point he'd take the ball out of Trubisky's hands.

between the country club preseason...the last two weeks of taking it easy...you bet your ass it's on the coaches to get a team ready to play. They weren't. And Fangio didn't learn a damn thing from the Packers picking them apart in the 2nd half. Dolphins did. Granted...coaches don't fumble. Coaches don't miss tackles. But this team (the D) looked gassed out there today. But still...to waste an entire half of football scoring 0 points. Trubisky missed a couple of wide open receivers too...one might have been a TD. But it was a horrible game plan to start with on O. Mack was non-existent today as well. 2 tackles...and was nowhere near many plays.

I like that he's pissed...but he's got nobody to blame (well...Fangio too)...but nobody to blame but himself. He gets cute when he should be pounding the ball on 1st and goal...and when he needs a critical 4 yards he gets all John Fox. He sure has a lot to learn about being a HC. This team WAS NOT prepared to play today....glad they had a leisurely week off. Probably filled up reading all the press clippings about how fucking great they are. But you just can't continually leave points on the field like that. I don't mind losing (much...well that's a lie)...but PISSING AWAY games like this and the Packer game....goddamn. This team should be 5-0 and in the drivers seat of this division. To come out like they did today on offense and basically waste an entire half blowing off the dust of you comfy two weeks...complete bullshit.
