Rosen should have been playing from the start. The players know it...fans too. It's just a matter of justifying Bradford's price tag. Idiotic signing IMO. That said...this Bears team reminds me of the 83 or 84 Bear teams...just on the cusp with a great D. Trubisky...dude makes me cringe a little. You see sparks of greatness...then he makes some really idiotic decisions. And another thing....Khalil Mack is worth every penny.

Anybody ever watch these Hardwood Classic on the NBA Channel? I usually peruse which ones the have and most of the time if I'm sitting there working will turn on the old Bulls games. They've had a few Bulls games this month. Vs Phx in the 93 Finals. I'm watching a game with the Bulls and Knicks right now (march 28 , 95..Jordan scored 20pts in the 1st qtr...I think his 55 pt game). I watch these games and just think...wow...these dudes were men. I can't imagine some 20 year old these days coming out and battling Anthony Mason (RIP...way too young) and getting in his grill. But damn I miss these days....watching Jordan and Pippen play together and those Bulls teams were a blessing not many people can say they saw. In my lifetime I've had the privilege of seeing the two best athletes at their respective sports (IMO) in Michael Jordan and Walter Payton. I cherish these replays. This game has old Illini Derek Harper when he was with the Knicks playing too. Damn he was good. Today's generation didn't get to see Jordan play...which is a shame. But when you see Michael AND Scotty play together....just....damn. And I forgot how much I hated John Starks...

I still go back to when Abreu was struggling and he reached out to his former mentor and HE'S the one that got him on the right track...NOT Steverson. And Steverson tried to jump on board to take make it seem he was privy all along. pffffffffffffffft. I'm not overly impressed with Steverson. I honestly wish we would have hired Kevin Seitzer instead.

I get that...but not in that situation. Howard was moving the ball. Green Bay had zero time outs left...so the last thing you want to do stop the clock with an incomplete pass like they did. You had two chances to gain a yard. Like was said above...you don't give Rodgers over 2 minutes. They could have gotten the clock under a minute even without getting the 1st if you simply run the ball. Too cutesy.

Not to mention...how do you NOT pressure basically a one legged QB in the 2nd half. When you're up 20-0...or 20-3...I don't care if I give up a big play...I'm going to make him beat me. Not sit back and let him pick you apart. Geezus. You pressure the A gaps and send an edge until the cry uncle. I get you don't do that with a healthy Rodgers...but he was completely immobile back there and in grand Bears fashion...they let them pick them apart. The played not to lose....

The play calling was completely anemic in the 2nd half. He kept calling that same ridiculous bubble screen that Pettine figured out after the first few...and they kept calling it. No slants utilizing Miller's speed...or Gabriels for that matter. No posts. But for the life of me I can't understand why he kept calling for pass plays on 3rd and short...especially the last series. Howard was knocking off nice chunks of yards that whole drive. I don't care if you say "yeah...but they were expecting it"...don't care. They pay Sims (way tooooo much I might add) to be a blocking TE....why was he continually being targeted? Really missed Shaheen last night...but thinking it over...would it have mattered? The play calling in the 2nd half was mind boggling. I thought after I slept it off I'd cool down today. I'm just as irate honestly. You blow a game like that...on a national stage against your biggest rival....geezus. I get losing a game...it happens. But that game was completely given away by this coaching staff. Inexcusable.

I fucking hate Kyle Fuller...I wish the Bears wouldn't have matched honestly. I said this last year with that skillet-handed mother fucker...I'd have put him 5 yards in front of a Jugs machine every day in the off season because he can't catch a fucking cold. He could have sealed the deal. Still doesn't take away from Nagy's complete ineptness with the 2nd half play calling tho...complete shit job. Fangio's 2nd half sucked too. Telling ya...I'm getting to the point I'm about done with this POS franchise. Same shit every year. How in the fuck do you not run Howard on 3rd and 1 late in that game is beyond me...you're an idiot Nagy. Seriously tho...losing that game...against the fucking Packers with a 20-0 lead was probably the biggest kick in the nuts I've had in quite a while (along with Kopech going down). I have tix for the Cards/Bears out here in a few weeks and honestly I don't even want to go now. Fuck them. Nagy single handedly ruined this year for me already. yeah...I'm not getting overly optimistic for this year. Next year tho I think the Bears will be in the convo for playoff teams. Having Mack and Roquan grow together in Fangio's D...that's scary for teams in the NFC North I think. My concern is the same...growing pains with the O. Daniel made it looks seamless...but the fact that Trubisky only attempted 18 passes in the preseason and saw very limited action concerns me. At least we know he's not dinged up lol.

Agreed...it’s rare you get an opportunity to get a PROVEN all pro caliber player like Khalil Mack. Steep price but well worth it. Puts the D at a whole new level. I’m pumped!

I agree with this. The last thing I want to do is piss off our cornerstone who will keep something like this in the back of his mind. Treat him fairly...and compensate him well when the time comes. I hate burning that year of control like the next guy...but it's time. Like many have said...you have to show possible FAs what's on the horizon.

And one of my favorite concerts back there around that time...was at the Chink Rink in Pekin. Molly Hatchet and .38 Special. Molly Hatchet was one of my favorite bands I’ve ever seen live. They don’t miss a lick. Danny Joe Brown rocked.

First concert was Boston...but the warm up was why I went....Sammy Hagar. Was at the Assembly Hall in Chambana. Great seats...and Sammy played a ton of things from the old Montrose album. At one point he sat in the edge of the stage and the played Bad Motor Scooter. Was pretty badass! I prefer small venues. Saw a ton of peeps in Champaign at Mables. REO... Head East....saw Johnny Van Zant Band there too before he too over the Skynyrd gig. He looks a ton like Ronnie. His first album was pretty decent. Saw Henry Paul Band there too. He was a lead in The Outlaws....again his first album (Grey Ghost) I really liked. Dont remember my first album. Was either McCartney and Wings...or Ted Nugent. Was big into BTO too.
