Crappy teams always draft for NEED...good ones draft BPA regardless of sport. I'm tired of that. None of these guys (top pitchers ) will help in the next few years anyway IMO. Like sf49 said...Madrigal may not hit a ton of HRs...but if he hits at a .320 clip...who cares. My BIGGEST concern with Madrigal is he projects at a position we already have a perennial all star at. That's the only issue. If somehow both Brohm and Madrigal are there...I have a feeling it might be Bohm. But again...Madrigal is the best pure hitter I've seen in quite some time. Do you pass on that?

speaking of Saladino...he's been doing VERY well over there for the Brew Crew...been batting .400 for them in 25 ABs. Good for him....

oh I hear ya...but the Sox have traditionally always been picking the the middle rounds for how long? Last year a tad higher. Rarely have they gotten to pick this high sans the Rodon pick. Next year we'll be up at the top also. I just don't think any of these pitchers screams TOR guys...whereas Madrigal's bat really doesn't need "developing". I just feel he's as sure a real thing as anybody in this draft. When you pick this high it should be more about talent that helps sooner than developing IMO. Of course that's my meager 2¢...

You take the bat IMO. The Sox have gotten lucky having Sale fall in there lap...as well as Hansen. I wouldn't say they've done a stellar job "IDing" pitching...especially when you have Carson Fulmer on your recent resume. Please take the bat....
