  1. Dan Johnson getting ready to PH for someone
  2. Walks from Valverde is our main chance here.
  3. This would be a good time for you to bust out, Paulie
  4. Well, there have been many unlikelier comebacks
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) What? You could easily bring in Veal to face Boesch here. If he's going to finish a game, let it be cause Reed is fatigued/injured or he had to pitch in an extra inning game, etc. My thought is that there is hardly a more important game in which we are losing...so if they think Brett is the best chance for us to stay close and win, I'm not mad about it. Just don't do it against the Twins tomorrow.
  6. Well, it's not like this one will make his contract click. There won't be a more important game for him to keep the deficit short in.
  7. Brett motherf***ing Myers b****es
  8. I'm convinced that playing matchups with Prince is a waste of time
  9. Quit with this damn camera angle.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) Wow. You could be gonzo. Baseball is a weird game. Detroit could lose and you'll be bye bye. I hope the mods enforce this
  11. Maybe we can make Verlander go 150 pitches and have his arm fall off
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Jake I never thought I would be joining your side with the optimists. But here I am. There is legitimate cause for concern here, but this series/game/inning is not going to be my impetus to hang it up. I've seen too much to the contrary...I'm going to let us get into a hole and play poorly somewhere other than Comerica Park before I lose my mind. Our team is relevant again and I like knowing that the expectation for next season will remain making the playoffs instead of just developing prospects or something like that.
  13. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Might have been even lower than his ankles. Young was smart he went out and got that pitch before it could break. Hit it way before it reached home. Luckily, he had 5 straight pitches of the same kind to figure out how to hit it
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) The pucker factor is something that has been a whitesox cornerstone for a while. Hard for me to get mad at a team that wants to win too much. See the past few years, where everyone just quit caring
  15. Glad to see Jones using the slider today
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) It isnt really a surprise that Caesar had a meltdown. perma-meltdown
  17. I think the team is pressing
  18. Sale losing his s*** in the dugout
  19. That was a very wild pitch
  20. T-Flow being competitive at the plate. I was dubious about his chances but he's hanging in there
  21. It's weird because you can't say PK has had a good season, he hasn't driven in any runs. A good month could probably make his season look good, though.
  22. The selection of slumpbusters in Detroit is apparently very lackluster
  23. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) A piece of s*** human being hits a piece of s*** home run. Honestly wouldn't feel a damn thing if he ends up dead tomorrow. What's his story? All I can remember is something about anti-Semitism
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) Seriously, I feel you watch different games than everyone else. 93 mph to Peralta was the first time he got there all night. I just went through every batter since the 3rd inning and basically every one that saw 2+ fastballs saw at least 92 and most saw 93. Hit 94 to Austin Jackson earlier as well. This is basically the Sale I remember most of the season, velocity-wise. Likes to throw a slow first strike, then mostly 92 and up with 2 strikes.
  25. I hope Dunn can PH for someone when the time comes
