QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) Who are these 8 teams in on Michael Bourn? Supposedly some "surprise" teams in there. You'd think that the Sox would have inquired, but I honestly don't like Bourn at all From Rotoworld: Heyman identifies eight different teams -- the Mets, Braves, Rangers, Mariners, Orioles, Cubs, Rays and Dodgers -- that could be looking to make a late run at the best free agent left on the open market -

Per Rotoworld: FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi report that Justin Upton rejected a trade that would have sent him to the Mariners. The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro has confirmed the report, and although it's not clear who exactly would have gone to Arizona in the deal, Piecoro says the package was "substantial." Upton has a limited no-trade clause, and the Mariners are obviously on it, though the report speculates that a deal between the two sides could possibly be revived. The Rangers and Braves are still pursuing the outfielder. It's looking very likely that Upton will be moved prior to spring training. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 20, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) Its going to be a complete waste of money. By all means they should completely tank this season if they were smart, however they are signing middling players which will pull them up out of the basement to the mediocre level of teams which will almost guarantee missing out on a real impact prospect. Cubs signed EJax for 4 years, $52 mil -

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 4, 2012 -> 03:17 PM) Ellsbury and Victorino as the 1-2 seems pretty good...if Ellsbury will stay healthy. Victorino's offensive numbers dipped a lot last year. It'll be interesting to see his transition to the AL. According to WEEI's Alex Speier, the Red Sox have agreed to a three-year deal with Shane Victorino. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Aug 24, 2012 -> 09:52 AM) Damn. That makes me feel pretty lucky. The mini fridge I used was the same one my sister used in college - and she's 8 years older than me! And it still works. It's now 14 years old. When my parents bought their first house in 1985, they bought a mini-fridge before getting a regular sized fridge. That sucker is still working, and is now my brother's beer fridge. 27 fricken years old.

Rotoworld says he signed a $40 million deal with the Dodgers; doesn't state how many years. Also says Sox and Cubs had serious intrest.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 11:40 AM) So Phil rogers said this morning that Byrd, who is not on any roster, is being put on a restricted list and is sitting out the 50 game suspension right now. How is that possible? Shouldnt he be on a teams roster to have to sit out games? Rogers said it, so TIFWIW I thought the same thing, but according to the mlb.com story:

So, we thought our 6 month old pup was pretty much house trained. Got her at the end of March; her last house accident was probably the begging of May. We recently allowed her to go into the basement, but only when we are with her. Unfortunately, she will relieve herself in the basement. Is it that she doesn't think it's part of the house?

Deng made the All Defensive Second Team. Tyson Chandler won Defensive Player of the Year, but the coaches voted Howard on the 1st team over Chandler. Also, Boozer had one vote. Ha.
