Just had my best week of the season so far...235, 223, and 199 for a 657 series. Only 2 opens, which were both splits. Raised my average up 2 pins, too. The team went 7-0, so we're now 9-5 this trimester.

This past Friday, I had a teammate shoot a 299. Of course, the final ball appeared to be the best of the three in the 10th, but the damn 10 pin didn't fall. But the other team had a guy basically match him with a 288, and we lost the first game by 45. Got smoked in the 2nd game, and lost the third game too, this time with a guy shooting 300 against us. Going into the night, we were in 4th place with position round next week, but losing all 7 points dropped us pretty far. I shot a 590. Had a crappy first game, but followed up with a 209 and a 213. Had a split in the 10th of the third game, which cost me the 600 (nevermind the 168 first game ). Up to a 179 average this year, which is still 6 pins short of last season, but i've had a good 7 week run after a miserable start to the season.

I bowl in a league that has 50 teams, broken down into 3 divisions based on team averages from last year. My team is in the middle division; our first trimester ended last week, and we finished in 5th place in our division. 3 of our regular bowlers have a lower average this year compared to last year (including myself) so we have room for growth. I've been thinking of picking up the Mongoose Optimum wrist support to see if it can help my game. I've read reviews online, but does anyone here have any feedback on it?

I'm looking to take a family vacation to one of the Michigan beaches. We have a 14-month old daughter, so we don't wont to be driving too far (I'm thinking 3 hour max). At the moment, it looks like Holland is the destination, but that's not certain yet. Has anyone been there? would it be a good place to go with a toddler? Would anyone recommend a different Michigan beach town instead?
