  1. 2005 was a magical, yet bittersweet, season for me. Seeing the Sox win the World Series will forever go down as the greatest sporting moment in my life. Sure, the Bulls 6 championships and Blackhawks 3 championships in the 2010's were awesome, but nothing tops seeing the team you are most attached to win it all. But in February 2005, my dad passed away at 50 years old. My dad is the reason that my mom, my brother, my sister and I are Sox fans. I really wish I was able to watch and celebrate the 2005 season with my dad.
  2. Holy shit, this is exciting!!
  3. Like you, I also had a bunch of issues this morning with Disney+, but things appear to finally be functioning properly for me.
  4. I’ve been playing fantasy baseball for 19 years now, and this 2019 season has been my greatest ever; I needed to share this somewhere, as my wife sadly does not care Each year I play in 3 money leagues, as well as a Homerun derby. This is how each league went: CBS Keeper League: Champion for second straight year CBS Dynasty League: Champion (3rd championship in the past 6 years) Homerun derby: Second out of 22 teams (actually tied for first, but lost tiebreaker to my brother) Yahoo yearly redraft league: 3rd place What a year. My Yahoo team was soooo close to making the championship too, but choked on the last day of the semi-final. But I’m ok with a 3rd place finish since the other leagues all did so well.
  5. You can add Myers to that list, too. His contract jumps up to $22.5M a year for the years 2020-2022. At least the Padres have a $1M buyout in 2023.... https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/myerswi01.shtml
  6. No kidding. I can't believe they didn't even attempt one running play when on the 1 yard line. I know Jones was ineffective last night, but to not even try once with Jones or sneak it in with Rodgers is nuts.
  7. He just can't stay out of the news...
  8. Moncada activated for tonight's game:
  9. McCann is catching....and Castillo is at DH. Yay!!
  10. I was curious, so I looked it up. His first name is Jasrado.
  11. Eloy and Timmy are back, and Renteria still keeps Moncada at cleanup. WTF
  12. Ha, I just asked my bro the same question.
  13. This is fun. Let’s keep the streak going and get above .500!
  14. Ha, I'm in unchartered territory...never started a game thread 3 days in a row. Let's keep it going tonight!
  15. I won't be around my computer later, so I'm just going to get this up now. Please add in the lineup when it's available. Thanks!
  16. J.A. Happ pitching for the Yanks
