  1. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) Admin obviously not in on the joke... Please tell me you guys aren't really this slow on the uptake. Check out all of Mike's posts.
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) wow another mod in on the joke Did you know they just took gullible out of the dictionary?
  3. Excellent work fellas! Histarical. Would the rest of you just shut up already, it's the first of April.
  4. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Thats nuts, and probably 53,000 of them are hot girls :-) I've been fortunate enough to visit that campus. Good-Lord. I've never seen so many drop-dead gourgeous girls in my life (all kidding aside). It was insane. Now...back to the thread, sorry gents!
  5. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) I also don't see Edwards lasting till 4. Ah, ok, gottcha. You don't see the Bears going WR in round one because you think Edwards will be off the board. Got it. I tend to agree with that. However, if he is there, I'm hoping the Bears take a serious look at him. I have jumped on the bandwagon in a major way. Clearly, he is the #1 WR in the draft.
  6. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) I was reading a MSU preview and came across this. "Enrollment: 43,366" Is that right? 43k? HOLY COW. I thought my school was crowded with 28k. Arizona State enrollment: 58,000+
  7. heh...heh...heh...Nook heh...heh...heh...Logan
  8. I'll be at Brothers. Let's not look past Louisville, we should have one hell of a game on our hands. I'm counting down the hours.
  9. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) Oh so right my merry droog. I've considered it my favorite movie since it came out. I was a psychology student at University at the time and I loved it. Like receiving a social 'tolchok' to the 'yarbles' it was. I couldn't find a picture of him on the Internet, so I queued up the movie on me own 'tely' and captured me own digital image of him. Quite right brother. Having viddied your avatar for so long without having asked was making me rather bezoomy it was. Cheers droogy!
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) I very highly doubt the Bears go WR in round 1. I dunno wite. Edwards' stock is really on the rise. He has been impressing the hell out of people. Plus, they are labeling him the only "franchise" wide reciever in the draft.
  11. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) Much appreciated. Ok, this has been driving me crazy. Is that Michael Bates from "A Clockwork Orange"? If so, that is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've like watched the ultraviolence many times my brothers.
  12. The prodigal son just served up a sweet one to Sullivan. Gone.
  13. There is a Boomer Berry in the farm system. I believe he played for Great Falls.

    PIZZA!

QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) Would you eat them in a house? Would you eat them with a mouse? Would you eat them in a box? Would you eat them with a fox?
  16. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) Thats weird, ive heard he has real good hands.. Did you see that one handed catch he made in the endzone at the combine.. that was awesome.. Let's make it clear: I never said he had poor hands. That is simply something I read. I haven't seen enough of him to make a fair judgement, but I'll take the word of these coaches, especially since it's recent.
  17. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) The catcher position is totally different from any other position in regards to importance. What you have is solid veteran catcher, that is not washed up ala Alomar, who knows how to work with a pitching staff. Burke, for all his magic with the bat last year, was very rough defensively. He was not a very good "receiver". He allowed too many passed balls and wasn't great a preventing the wild pitch. And the dude could not hold on to a throw from the outfield on a play at the plate, if his life depended on it. And that was before the Hunter incident. I'm sure the decision to keep Widger involved KW, Ozzie, Coop and the pitching staff to an extent. Epic post. Widger is the better receiver. We need no offensive production from the backup catcher position. That said, I still think Widger has better power potential (no matter how limited).
  18. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) where have you seen his hands are questionable? Everything I have heard was he had some of the best hands at the combine.. Let me try and dig it out. I found it rather early in the combine, maybe after a couple more workouts the scouts did a 180.
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 08:36 AM) This just goes to show that if KW didn't relent and sign AJ, the catching situation would have been brutal. AJ falling into KW's lap is one of the luckiest things that has happened this past off-season. Amen. A Davis-Burke tandum would have been brutal, both offensively and defensively. Spare the stats...it would have been brutal.
  20. I don't know if he needs to lighten up. What I do know is he needs to get some movement on his fastball.
  21. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) Its going to become more and more the norm for a QB in college to switch to WR in the NFL in my opinion. QB's are getting more and more athletic at the QB position, but can't make all the throws needed for the NFL position, guys like DJ Shockley, and Vince Young will likely end up as WR's in the NFL in my opinion. Woa. I dunno about that one. Young is already being talked about as one of the better QB prospects of the future. However, I could easily see Shockley making the move.
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) I only really follow Michigan State and IU. MSU doesn't really have anything special coming in, as you can see, but with Brown, Ager, Davis and Neitzel back, should be fine. The Allen kid for IU was recruited from Australia by the same guy who brought Bogut to Utah so he could be a factor inside for IU. I know greasy and I were talking and he is pretty excited about him as many IU fans are. Looking at some of those players with 8's next to them, those are the guys to keep your eye on because these ratings are done by Clark Francis who usually has a pretty good idea and sees a lot of these guys in order to rank them fairly well. Most excellent, thanks! The only kid I'm familiar with is the junior at Glenbrook North (the school where Bruce Weber's brother coaches). I know there is a serious buzz about him and a lot of folks are hoping he chooses Illinois. Last time I heard, he narrowed his choices down to Illinois, Duke and Arizona.
  23. ABoz, Do you know anything about any of those individual recruits? Are there any guys that are going to make an immediate impact or make the opposing team tremble?
  24. From the looks of it, at least the Big 10 doesn't have any dynamite recruiting classes to compete with. Then again, I'm really green on collegiate baskeball recruitment.
