  1. I wonder if Beane wanted to move Zito instead. This is pretty shocking. The A's have had attendace issues the past few years and I can't help but think this will complicate things even more. I never would have thought both of these guys were moved in one season. I have to give a thumbs down to Beane on this one.
  2. Feels good to be home from school. I just got in yesterday!
  3. There are none. False rumors out of New York have us dealing two guys out of the three (Garland, Konerko, Marte) to the Dodgers for Vazquez. Much, much earlier this morning Bruce Levine reported on ESPN Radio 1000 that this is a dead rumor. Kenny has never put this offer on the table and the Sox would not be involved in the three-way deal whatsoever. Anything else you here is pure speculation. This Randy deal won't even go down until around Christmas Eve as he is in the Bahamas with his agent and won't be leaving any time soon.

    College

I got on college mailing lists as early as sophomore year. I visited 4 schools over my junior year spring break. Once I got accepted into the school of my choice, I visited it again and accepted my admission.
  5. Enjoy the $5M Joe. Sorry it didn't work out. So long.
  6. I was pushing for Mackwoiak the last couple of seasons. He's a local boy with a lot of talent and a love for the Chicago White Sox. What makes him so valuable is his versitility. He can play 2B, 3B, and OF. I would love to see him split some time with Crede if he falters early on. It would create some competition at the position and I think both players could benefit from it. I like this guy a lot. Maybe Kenny will take a look.
  7. Ok, first off, I have no idea what that post is trying to say, way too many errors. Levine reported this offer was nothing more than hearsay and conjecture. Kenny said this offer was never on the table. Levine went on to report that this Randy-to-the-Yanks transaction will not take place until around Christmas Eve. Randy is in the Bahamas with his agent and will not be leaving early to take any MRIs. So, before you work everyone up, its important to note this rumor has no credibility to it. This isn't a reality. Sorry.
  8. I'm still pushing for Scoot or Scooter. C'mon, it is a spin on his first name and he steals 70 bases. Its a match made in heaven.
  9. Didn't take the time to read the pages upon pages of posts in this thread... But, I just wanted to let you all know that this rumor has no truth behind it. On ESPN Radio 1000 this morning, Levine reported this was complete garbage. Kenny wants nothing to do with this trade and the idea that the Dodgers would get their pick of two guys out of the three (garland, konerko, marte) is completely false.
  10. Put it into context qwert. Do any of these clowns deserve a crack at the starting rotation next year?
  11. Please, no strong words. I'm just curious to see where we are all at.
  12. In all honesty... I'm waiting for the announcement that Dustin Hermanson will be the fifth starter for the 2005 Chicago White Sox. This way, Kenny can sleep easy at night, knowing he brought in a free agent to pitch every fifth day. I really, really thought these fifth starter problems were a thing of the past. I truly believed Kenny was going to address that need this off-season. He dropped the ball big time. I hope he enjoys his last year in the organization.
  13. I will do everything possible to see to it that Kenny is booed off stage at Soxfest. We needed one f***ing thing this off-season. We needed one thing more than anything else...and your answer is Jason Grilli. Here's a big f*** You To Kenny "I'm a professional General Manager" Williams. Its disgusting and utterly unjustifiable.
  14. What a depressing list. Hopefully I won't break my ankles when I jump off the Kenny bandwagon.
  15. I just heard the news. I'm crestfallen.
  16. Both Duke Davis on the nation-wide ESPN Radio Sportscenter and Jeff Dickerson on ESPN Radio report the Sox are still very much in the hunt for Clement. In fact, Duke only mentioned the Sox. He said "The White Sox want Matt Clement to stay in the city of Chicago, just on the other side of town." So, while this isn't earth-shattering, it says the Sox are right there in the thick-of-things. For some reason, I think the scales are tilted in the Sox favor right now.
  17. I can think of a flamethrower from the Northside of the city that likes the sauce too. I'd take him on my team anyday. Bottoms up.
  18. Welcome to the city Jennie, I'll have ya over for dinner and breakfast if you're interested.
  19. Day six of my advocating the overpaying of Matt Clement stance.
  20. Nothing wrong with this signing. Low risk, high reward. Good snag Kenny.
  21. We all need to settle down. I think these late-night rants are simply products of these Clement/Unit rumors. Things will be just fine. In just a few months the 2005 Chicago White Sox will be taking the field and all of this off-season anxiety and frustration will be out the window. They will take the field, and we will love them. Unity will reign supreme once again.
  22. Amen brother. You can probably attribute this thread to my post-finals mayhem. However, having finished my last final today, I couldn't be happier. No school for a month, life is good.
  23. If you made this thread...does that make you the complainer and not me for agreeing with it wholeheartedly? We will be lambasted by the Chicago media, Sox fans, Flub fans, the national media, small children, woodland creatures, just about anyone that has followed this organization. That said, I love my Sox. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more die-hard fan that I...well, besides all the happy posters at Soxtalk. Ah yes, they have me by the bag and there is nothing I can do about it.
