    I liek Milk

I Liek Milk!!! I don't know if any of you remember this site. It once was iliekmilk.com. He sold t-shirts and mousepads and everything. Funny as hell. I was inspired by tex's other thread; had to find it. P.S.-He is a baseball player Kenny, maybe you ought to check him out.
  3. "Johnny is generous enough to remark upon how "articulate" I am! That makes me feel good!"
  4. ESPN.com just did a report on this guy. If any of you are interested... Linky
  5. Nationals? They are overpaying everyone else...why not Blanco.
  6. Absolutely incredible. Congrats man. They have been a lot of fun to watch and it makes me happy to see a Big Ten boy succeed like Brees has. Coach of the year is in the bag. Lets just hope they hang on.
  7. The starting lineup for your 2005 Chicago White Sox Batting first and playing second base...from Japan...Tadahito Iguchi Batting second and playing shortstop...from Colombia...Orlando Cabrera Sitting on the bench and doing absolutely nothing...last years most suprising youngster and the probable heir apparent to Jose Valentin...Juan Uribe NOT HAPPENING!
  8. True, a million dollar contract should not sink a team. However, this is the Sox we are talking about. I fear that Kenny has a bottom line figure he needs to live by and whenever he makes a signing it eats away at that figure. If we had a flexible front-office willing to negoiate how much we spend in the off-season, it would be very sensible to bring in another C at this point; but, I think Kenny feels that if he were to spend that money most effectively, it would require him to answer the rotation questions first.
  9. I think many of us would approve of the Sox snagging a FA catcher, only after Kenny addresses or more pressing needs. I, too, fear a core of Hardhitting Ben Davis/Jamie Burke for an entire MLB season, but I could live with it if we nail a big-time starter, a reliever and a decent hitter(no matter what position).
  10. This entire thread should be blown up. Neither Willie "MVP" Harris or Yoshi or Honda or whoever should be starting next year. The starter needs to be Uribe and Kenny needs to aquire a shortstop(and yes, I also endorse Polanco).
  11. I had no clue Miller might be in the off-season SP market. I hope Kenny takes a look at him. He could be a great guy to complete this rotation. I know better options are out there, but if Kenny is going to go the free agency route, Miller should be in the top 3...unless of course he plans on shipping Paulie for pitching.
  12. 4-8 Weeks!!! But I want it now!!!
  13. Now that Kenny has seen both Vizquel and Kendall vanish before his eyes, could we see both Paulie and Carlos on this team next year? Paulie is going to put up better numbers than Gload and I think Kenny would be hard-pressed to find a replacement as consistent as Carlos in LF. Although I think at least one of these guys will be traded for pitching or the like, could Kenny actually go into next season with both of these Sox? I know its really in the off-season, but at this point, I am not sure where Kenny wants to go for offensive production. IMO, he would be crazy to get rid of both, however, keeping these two might inhibit Kenny from perfecting the rotation. Thoughts...
  14. No thank you. Strikes out and swings from the heels. He is exactly what this organization is trying to get away from.
  15. Jim, I think we are pretty much as set as we are going to be at the catcher position. Now that Kendall is off the board, I think Kenny is going to ride this one out. He targeted Kendall, it didn't happen, and I think rather than sign a guy he is not crazy about, he'll go into 05' with a Davis/Burke tandum. I would consider both Zaun and Blanco. If he signed Zaun, I think we would have the most likeable catching core in the major leagues. Zaun is one of the best clubhouse guys in the bigs, something Ozzie does certainly care about...but, he may not be good enough to be the answer for the Chicago White Sox. Ozzie is big on Burke, he likes Davis, and I think if he sees offensive progression from Davis in spring training, he'll go that route.
  16. Not to change the topic, but what should we expect from Contreras next season. I think a lot of us take for granted the fact that he was not really brilliant on the Southside last year. Yeah, he had some great starts, but I hope he can produce #4 starter numbers in 05'. IMO, he remains the biggest question mark in our rotation.
  17. Let it be known, I was the first to prophesize that Brown will be on the roster in 2005.
  18. That is my stance on the issue. I would like to have Bradley on the Souhside, but not at the expense of our starting rotation. Bradley would improve us offensively, that's for sure, but I think the hurt we would feel in the rotation would trump his offensive improvement.
  19. It was the correct call. As soon as a team tries to advance on a two point conversion, the other team is held responsible for picking up a fumble and getting downed in their own endzone. In this case, the Aggies picked up a "fumble" (yes I know it was a botched kick), attempted to advance the ball, and were hit in their own endzone. It was a crazy call, but the right one for the NCAA.

  21. Your argument lacks focus. So is it, you think some of the posters here are down on not aquiring Kendall? some of the posters here are living in a fantasy "baseball" world? or you have no faith in our organization to adress team needs? Don't accuse posters of things they have never before done...This one in particular. are you one of the crusty old cynics from the other message board? Get your facts straight...I am NOT a naive little White Soxer. I was a fan of aquiring Kendall...remember what Mom said about people that assume.
  22. Well...which do you prefer? a) a lineup including Bradley, with a rotation of not one, but TWO vaccancies or B) a lineup without Bradley, with a rotation that is only one FA away from complete I suppose its a matter of preference. I believe that a strong rotation is going to win this division; Milton Bradley will not. As has been the problem on the Southside for years now, we have all the POP in the world, but no pitching. I think its time to change that.
  23. Ding Ding Ding! Exactly. The offense will be fine without the "Beltran Like" Bradley. The rotation will not be fine with another question mark at one LET ALONE two starting spots. C'mon man.
