In all honesty...our deal is the best of the three. That is rather heartening.

We all know Kenny is big on high reward guys and Chacon is a big-time high reward guy. Kenny must have seen enough of his stuff, excluding last year, although at times he looked fantastic, to think that he can pull of a "Loaiza" type comeback. Now, I'm not saying he will put up Loaiza numbers, not at all; but what he can do, is be the set-up guy we have been trying so hard for or he can act as a serviceable long-man in the pen. Either way you look at it...Chacon has "high reward guy" written all over.

I too think Chacon would be a good sign. Nothing to lose with this guy, he had dynamite stuff before the Rocks tried to make him a closer...somthing that would not happen on the South Side. However, my agreement ends at Matt Clement. I think that has a "bad sign" all over it. Nothing special, one good year...will probably produce Garland-type numbers in 2005. The last thing we need is another and expensive Garland.

I like both suggestions. I was contemplating putting Osuna up there, but went with Williamson, not knowning that he may not pitch next year. And, yes...Kline will be a Yankee.

Keeping with tradition... If Kenny could sign one, just for argument's sake, free agent reliever, who's your man? No "Closers" Allowed! Keep in mind these are only free agents, I haven't included any trade rumors.

Sorry fellas, didn't feel like starting a new thread. Do you think Kenny would ever take a look at Jeff Nelson. He made $1,789,841 in 04', he has 13 years under his belt, and he is intimidating as hell. Nelson can be used as either or middle reliever or a set up man,two things we are in dire need of. Nelson... Nelson... Anyone... Bueller...

I think our off-season aquistions will include... 1. Jason Kendall-> I honestly believe this is something Kenny will pull off 2. Russ f***ing Ortiz-> Kenny is really big on this guy, personally I think this would be an awful move, absoulte garbage 3. Bullpen Help-> I wish I knew who, but I have no idea. Do any of you think Jeff Nelson would be a nice pickup? I love Nelson. 4. Eric Young-> or someone to that end. A platoon player at best. I think that is a very realistic and very "Reinsdorfian" off-season. I also believe either Paulie or CLee will be gone and I'm starting to think that if we bring in a big-name starter, Garland is gone with the wind as well.

Any plan that has Willie getting traded is ok by me. This team will have big time problems if that s***head is starting. I don't really like any of the vets out there, Larkin, Cairo, etc. I think Kenny is going back to the drawing boards on this one and unless he signs Polanco, or makes a trade, he may just stand pat on Middle Infielders.

Finley will be playing somewhere on the west coast. He wouldn't even allow a trade to an east coast team (i.e. Phillies) last year. His family lives in San Deigo and he has gone on record saying he wants to be close to his family. If he doesn't sign with the Padres (a team that has shown high interest in him) it will be another west coast ballclub. And for what its worth...although he went to SIU, he was born and raised in Union City, TN. That's not really an area boy.

Please stay away from him Kenny, Please! This would be money down the drain. Prioritize Kendall. Fill the rotation. Get some bullpen help. Not signing Vizquel was a blessing in disguise, please don't blow it.

Give a big NO to both Ramon and Russ Ortiz. Personally, I can't see Ramon on the Southside, I think Kenny has targeted other guys. What I fear most is getting Russ f***ing Ortiz. Kenny is showing a ton if interest too...just the thought of him makes me :puke
