Almost, SS, but not quite. I think that although a Renteria/Wright offseason looks good on paper, we would have done nothing to address bullpen needs. If we aquire both Edgar and Wright via free agency, then trade Paulie for a top-notch reliever and a couple prospects, we would have a first-class offseason for a team that practices "reisndorfian baseball."

Hey fellas, I'm thinking about going this year. For all those that have gone in the past: is it worth it? It looks like a friggin blast and I'd love to meet up with some of you guys to shoot the s***. Since I live in the city, I wouldn't need a hotel; would any of you have any idea how much it would cost with tickets, parking and the like, but without a hotel? Believe it or not, I'll wear a name tag. Not a bad idea.

I haven't heard this yet. This is fantastic news. Zook is exactly what our football program needs at this point. Although I was on the fence for awhile, I have just jumped off. Zook's recruiting ability is very exciting. He produced top three recruiting classes at Florida during his tenure there. I feel that Illini football has been done the past couple of seasons because good football players from the Chicago area and the state of Illinois have been going elsewhere. Illinios is actually a very recruit-heavy state and I feel confident that Zook will get a lot of bluechips in here. Great move by the U of I. I can't wait to have him down here. He was the perfect choice at this point in time.
