QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) ^ mike is always on w/ the PK comments. Yup. This thread is getting rich...and fast. "Bizzaro Baj"
-
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) nope...that was an imposter "Bizarro Baj" Naturally, how could I forget. The real Baj, ya know, the one that slays minor leaguers, would have never put up those kind of numbers against major-leauge hitting. He just needs his shot, ya know?
-
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) How do you even pronounce his name? Badge-In-Arrow
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) well the point of my post was that no one really watches the minor league games here. Honestly, i completely forgot he was even up last year. I think that's where a lot of the folks saying they watched him pitch are coming from though...the call-up role.
-
Does it count if you watched him get his ass handed to him in a LIMITED (8.1 IP, 10.80 ERA) Sept. call-up role?
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:51 AM) i'd say around 5 people on this board have seen him pitch, but he is god to some people. That time, you literally had me laughing out loud. "I'd say around 5 people on this board have seen him pitch" Priceless.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) fine, then it's gotta be baj. gotta I'll be honest, I was expecting Bajenaru first, with the Wee one following a close second. So far, not happening.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) no hawk? booooooooo ...check out the names. I would have run out of green text, if ya know what I mean.

Which Sox Prospects do you Think Are Untouchable
AddisonStSox replied to White Sox Josh's topic in FutureSox Board
QUOTE(GBlum## @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Ya that's what it says on the roster, but 23=Jermaine. Good catch. Didn't even think of it. I suppose we'll see today. -
Everyone just check out the dancing "magic" numbers in knightni's signature. I love em'. I crack up everytime! Well done, good knight.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) I agree it just alittle to white to be considered gray but its still good anyway Sure is. You did a hell of a better job than I ever could.
-
QUOTE(Sam @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) That's a gray shade. Is it now? Looks awfully white to me.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) Pretty good, the Sox logo on the helmet looks JUST a bit out of place though. Well, that, and we don't have any White jerseys without pinstripes.

Um...thanks.

Things are going to get CRAZY. Oh. My. Goodness.

The same can be said of Jon Adkins. As Bruce Levine, Ozzie, and others have reported, Adkins was one of the most well-liked guys in the clubhouse in 04'. Whether guys like Baj have stats that merit a shot in the bigs or not, Ozzie, Kenny, and co. are going to get guys on the roster that they think will contribute on and off the field. I'm not one for "chemistry," but have bought into it as of late.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) There are going to be guys available that will clear waivers. A lot of the teams that think they have a chance will realize they don't in the next few weeks. I still think KW will acquire an impact-type of player , and the asking price will be a lot less. He really doesn't need anyone for the regular season at this point, just for the playoffs. This is the year to go for it. NY and Boston may never be this beatable in the same season for a while. That is a bold statement. Let's see what develops.

Per Whitesox.com ...I'm all broken up about it.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) It's somewhat on the same topic, but people were ripping into Joe Crede a lot earlier in the season. He's had a pretty respectable season up to now. I've seen a couple places that Joe's one of the funniest guys in the clubhouse. I bet a lot of the Sox players consider that to be just as important to as what he does on the field. Bingo: Crede is supposed to be one of the funniest guys in the clubhouse. I mean, c'mon, take one look at him, it's not that far-fetched. Crede and Timo are White Sox regulars. Period.

The never-ending Timo saga continues: After watching the game on ESPN last night and seeing how all the guys in the dugout were goofing around and laughing with Timo, I got to thinking. Everytime the Sox are either in the lead or in the midst of a boring game, it seems Timo is always the one providing laughs in the dugout. Whether it's with the latino players or not, he always seems to be the life of the party. In my opinion, you needs guys like that in the clubhouse. If Timo is really a much bigger part of the "chemisty" off the field than he is on the field, that may justify keeping him on the bench. We have one of the more latino-influenced clubhouses in the bigs and for them, Timo may be "one of the guys." Of course, this is all speculation, but, something to think about. If he can come in and spell the outfielder, get the "clutch" hit, and rest the legs of some of the regulars, while being one of the clubhouse favorites, I have no problem with the guy taking one of the roster spots on the 25-man. Thoughts?

I wouldn't be suprised if Blum gets an at-bat or two tonight. If not, he makes his debut at USCF, and that is never a bad thing. A four game sweep would be fantastic. Get it done, Mark and get that 12th victory.
