  1. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) Millions of peaches Peaches for me Millions of peaches Peaches for free. Well, then you have to move(in) to the country. And, quite frankly, that is simply something I can't commit to right now.
  2. Looking at the Blum part, you could tell Geoff was sorta out-of-it in Baltimore. He looked like a lost puppy on the bench. Hopefully, he'll find a way to fit in with the guys and still be a happy and healthy daddy for his triplets. As for Crede's sideburns...I'll worry about those when he stops popping-up.
  3. Are the peaches as advertised? I peaches.
  4. QUOTE(jamslam @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) iT'S SETTLED GOOCH IS MY PICK TO CLICK TODAY, i wOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM AS CLEANUP AND LET HIM UNLEASH ONCE YOU CAN USE MY DESK AND MAYBE LATER WE CAN GO TO LUNCH
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) Not really sure. I have s*** in my apt. right now that is going to the new place but I'm not sure when my current lease expires and my new lease begins. I'm not ready to go back to school yet. F'ing University Group. Luckily, my buddy is taking care of the internet and cable, but it's such a pain in the ass to get that all up and running by the time we get down there. I ain't ready to go back yet either. Believe me.
  6. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Also, i'd probly move this thread to the sports forum, but that's just me. I'm still reeling from Steff's arbitrary singing. But, sure, a move over to the Sportsbar makes sense.
  7. Did I miss something? A lot of stuff was strategically deleted. EDIT: Methinks someone is trying to save serious face.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:33 PM) La, la, la, la, laaa, laaaa... :rolly
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) You had better go hide in the subbasement bomb shelter for a few weeks... Aw damnit. Prepare for two weeks of: Griffey to the White Sox? Whatever happened to the Griffey deal? Did the Sox claim Griffey? I have an old buddy at Skyline Chili that said a Reds scout was working the Sox minor leagues. Damnit. Damnit. Damnit.
  10. Will someone please come out and say the White Sox will NOT be getting Ken Griffey Jr. to save us from two weeks of absolute message board hell?
  11. Anyone more excited about the possibility of getting a guy like Burroughs for someone that won't even be with the organization next season? I know I am. That's a good deal. Griffey ain't happening.
  12. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 11:34 AM) I'm moving into my dorm the 17th. Aren't the sox/yankees games sold out? But addy, yeah definitely keep in touch w/ me and krush during the fall. We'll be going on lots of sox adventures, which are gonig to include sleeping outside the stadium for playoff tix. I think may have confused you, good sir; and for that, I apologize. Since we should all be down there and moved in by the 19th or 20th, I was thinking having ya'll over to the apt. for the Sunday afternoon game. Spitballing: maybe LCR, Krush, you, dorf, etc. We'll see. Just wanted to throw it out there.
  13. When are ya'll moving in? I'm going to guess either the 19th or 20th. I'm thinking maybe we can have a little "get together" for the Sox/Yankees game on Sunday. If any of you are interested, post away.
  14. Somebody has a celebrity brithday calendar. Sorry for the new thread fellas, please merge away!
  15. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) I know, i know. Going righty/lefty just for the sake of going righty/lefty doesn't do too much. Besides, Everett is switch. If he really wanted to do that, he could do something like Dye/Pierz/Konerko/Everett. I'm not suggesting it, though. Although it's not terrible. Don't you dare let the manager from the Northside hear you say that. Lee BURNITZ Ramierz ...are you kidding me? :headshake
  16. QUOTE(juddling @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) I'm sure it's been mentioned before but does anyone know if Viagra would should up on the test???? lol "Honest Senator...i never took steriods.....just a little blue pill!!!!!!" Maybe someone spiked his prescription. juddling Hey, you know how they tell you to get yourself to the ER if it doesn't go back to normal in four hours' time...maybe you test postive for steroids. You know what I would LOVE to see happen. Go ahead. Admit him to the Hall of Fame. But, on the bottom line of his plaque I'd like to see one line: This player tested postive for preformance-enhancing drugs. That's it. One line. Every player that either a) tested postive or b ) admited steroid use--something I hope McGwire comes out and does--should have that one single line on the bottom of their plaque. You can't argue their numbers don't belong. But, you can put that little jab in clear daylight for now until forever. The scorn those cheaters would receive from former Hall of Famers and fans alike would be punishement enough.
  17. QUOTE(Art Vandelay @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 09:06 AM) Totally agree. I don't know why we have this thing called perjury if it's never going to be enforced when it should. I laugh out loud each and every time I see this Importer/Exporter post. Hats off to one of the best Soxtalk handles of all time.
  18. Major League Baseball must be absolutely sick right now. This is the LAST thing they ever wanted to happen. You don't honestly think Selig wasn't aware of steroid use during the "rebirth" of baseball in Sosa and McGwire's race to 61. They knew about it. Fans knew about it. But, the last thing they ever wanted to have happen was to address it in the public forum because they knew it work knock MLB down a few notches.
  19. Begs the question: How the hell would anyone know what he tested positive for? Unless the Palmero camp came out and said what it was, I don't understand how that information would become public.
  20. QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) f*** you. That was uncalled for. I don't see how that has meaning. You didn't explain the meaning of your thread in the first post. Then after that you talked down to me like I was stupid acting like I didn't know what a dead arm period is. In case you didn't notice I also added intelligence to my other post that you ignored. If you re-read my post, I think you'll notice I was explaining it as if I took you seriously. I honestly thought you may not have ever heard of that term before. Which, I may add, came as a suprise to me because I know you contribute to futuresox regularly. You were trying to stir the pot...I called you on it. A-hole. If you are going to come in a thread and post nothing more than a smiley face, why post at all? I was wondering if anyone else thought it was that time of year. Go Spartans.
  21. QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Not a ballplayer? Dead arm "period"...oh, that's what we always referred to it as...is that time of year when SP and relievers alike either have none-stuff or have a real hard time throwing all their pitches effectively. I know the Beltin' one has referred to it a couple times this week and I think he's on to something. It seems our pitchers simply haven't had their A-stuff for the past week or so and I'm hoping they pull out of it quickly.
  22. Yikes. Is is that time of year already?
