White Sox vs. Orioles, 7/03/07 (W)

I was ridiculed when I said he was our best starter this year.......... -
Hawk Harrelson ladies and gentlemen! As of last week, Javy had 4 wins blwon for him, tied for 2nd in the game of baseballx fans really underrate this guy and i don't understand why. People lump him in with Contreras as far as underachievers go and they are talking out of their butts when they do so
-
While Buerhle has a better era and record, Javy has matching peripheral's with mroe strikeouts. THey have given up the same number of homers in the same number of innings with nearly matching BAA and Walk totals. Simply put: vazquez has been extraordinarily unlucky. Mark's been great no doubt but Javy has had bad luck and terrible run support. His 1.12 whip and 83/23 K-B is outstanding
-
Wel Javy has been our best pitcher this year so I wouldn't get mad about having him. He's part of a solution, not part of the problem especially at his respectable contract
-
I think Harrison is an easy get(and i like him, looks like a pitchability lefty). I don't think we get Salty in any deal though he is the guy I'd ask for too. Him alone and I'd probably do it. Let's say you do that deal, then you likely have to think about shipping AJ out as it'd make no sense to get Salty and have him in AAA when he seems big league ready.

Yeah the struggling bullpen with quality arms like Sisco, Aardsma, MacDougal, Thornton, etc. you can certainly give Kenny a pass on. Nobody was claiming before the season that we had the worst pen in the AL. However, this outfield issue we have was utterly predictable,. Let's say that our outfield was healthy with Erstad, Pods, and Dye and they all played 150 games. We'd STILL have an average-below average OF especially for an AL team

Tank "possibly" got a DUI in Arizona
Punch and Judy Garland replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
No I'm just saying he takes huge advantage of Harris' consant double teams. I think he's talented sure, but he's in a spot to look extra good because of the guy next to him, that's all I'm saying. You do have to worry about depth a bit with the departures of Idonoje and Boone. I guess their eggs are in the Dusty basket or they feel someone can slide over in a pinch -

He got really overrated because of how good the Bears team was. He simply isn't Tommie Harris. He's no big loss, see ya -

Have you seen the US outfield? WOW -
You are reading around the net that their could be another shoe to drop here. It has to be more than just him whining about being on the bench. Maybe you won't hear much until the ten days are up but there is certainly much more going on. THey knew he was a pain in the ass and he actually has produced a bit this year despite being in the trainer's roon
-
We should make a small trade for him. He won't clear waivers. I think a C level prospect (god knows we have those) would get it done. I realize we aren't really in it but we can always turn him around again in a month. Definitely worth a shot given what Owens-Terrero-Rob have given us in the corners
-
I like Joe, he always seemed to work hard and was accountable, even if he flamed out here. I miss Mo too, he seemed to be one of the dominant personalities on our team. I think he made people laugh a bit. I remember Ozzie saying he was insane

MARK BUEHRLE HAS PITCHED A NO-HITTER!
Punch and Judy Garland replied to ShoeLessRob's topic in 2007 Season in Review
Who else thought it was over in the 7th (i think) when crede missed a ball on a dive adn then Juan threw out the speedy Kinsler from deep in the hole. Thats likely the unsung play of the game (and there were many including Dye's catch at the wall and Crede's play on Hairston) -

Welcome to the Jungle, Eric Gagne returns with a save. I didn't see it but to strike out Ichiro, his changing of speeds must have been good -
How far is water street from the ballpark? Close? Also, anyone have hotel recommendations?

Its scary to think but given the obvious amount of Indians fans in Wisconsin this week but tickets could be hotter in Milwaukee than they were in CHicago. I'm sure they sold a ton for the weekend series but I bet the secondary market will be on fire for these.
-
YEah I've never been to Milwaukee but that will change if theyplay this weekend. I hope it'd be for the same $10 and that we wouldn't get taken advantage of
-
Vazquez will be a bit better than Brandon but not a better value for certain.
