Scott Schoeinweis
So, if The Sox don't offer arbitration is he gone or is he under contract still?

Scott Schoeinweis
Why do you say unfortunately?

Scott Schoeinweis
I don't see him listed as a free agent? Will he fall under the list of non-tendered?

fly under the radar and do this
I would take Soriano if the deal was right. He is a 30+ SB player. That is what Ozzie wants. I saw a rumor on benmaller.com a while back that Texas was offering Soriano for Garland.

Sox 1st FA
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but can't people be removed from the 40 man roster just as easily as they can be sent to the minors?
-
Paulie and Carlos
I hope your right, and I hope that includes Carlos getting a clutch hit every now and then.

Sox 1st FA
I was really pissed when The Sox traded Guerrier for Marte, for the same reason. I couldn't understand why we gave up Kip Wells, Josh Fogg, and Matt Guerrier to the same team. My buddies and I predicted that KW solidified The Pirates rotation for years to come. Glad, we were wrong. I'll give Walker a chance. Not a horrible move Kenny.

Bears sign Jeff George
I think this whole Jeff George thing is an audition to be the back up next year. Probably gonna test his attitude and if he is still a cancer, then bye bye Jeff. I've got no problem with this guy as the back-up.

Realistic 2005 Sox Lineup
I'm partially wrong. In 2002, he only hit .252 but the power numbers were there. I remember Frank having another inury for some reason though.

Realistic 2005 Sox Lineup
The only thing that concerns me about Frank is that whenever he comes back from injuries he has a down year, IIRC. I'd have to look up for sure though. I hope he can explode this year though. He is the man.

Just A Thought
This guy always seemed like a Sox killer. Would it be worth it to bring him in as Crede insurance?

Realistic 2005 Sox Lineup
Harris-2B (breaks out in Spring Training and explodes in 2005, I'm waiting for the jeers) Rowand-CF Thomas- DH Lee-LF Konerko-1B Crede- 3B (breakout year in 2005) Escobar- RF (outplays Everett in Spring Training and wins the job) Uribe- SS (see Joe Crede, puts together a full season) Davis- C Gload Perez Everett Burke Valdez Nothing too different, same station to station right handed hitting team. Buehrle Garcia Russ Ortiz (FA signing, I have predicted this since the offseason began) Contreras Garland Shingo Marte Politte Adkins Cotts Osuna(FA signing, this is who I want. I wanted him back last year) Nothing special, will have a shot for The Central.

why I will not by tickets this year
Don't forget Julio Ramirez, Josh Paul, Aaron Myette, and Kevin Beirne.

Happy (Real) Birthday Shingo!!
- Just some news...
Yes, i think I can go from there, Thanks.- Just some news...
Absolutely agree. Here are Womack's numbers: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/stats?statsId=5158 This was his first season batting over.300 Also, can anyone tell me what is considered a good on base %- Just some news...
He had an excellent year for St. Louis. I just don't see him doing it again.- Just some news...
I heard on The Score yesterday I believe that The Indians are the front runner for Clement. Also, it was said that The Cubs have interest in Tony Womack, does that mean the end for Todd Walker. Womack would be a huge mistake, IMO, I hope The Cubs do sign him.- Nick Johnson
I thought so.- Nick Johnson
I want to see Gload play too, but if we could have a healthy Nick Johnson, take him in a heartbeat. Is Gload the possible RF solution??? IIRC, wasn't he pretty brutal there a couple games last season? I would think he could work on that.- Just some news...
I just read on whitesox.com that there are only 2 pitching spots open for the '05 season. The beat writer, Scott Merkin said that barring a trade those 2 spots figure to be filled by a combination of Grilli, Munoz, Diaz, and Bajaneru. Maybe I am misunderstanding, but that sounds like no plans for a FA signing? I don't have the link, but it's under The White Sox mailbag and the subtitle is something to the effect of Magglio being risky. The paragraph I just described is under the question about Ryan Meaux. I'm getting that sinking feeling again, and yes, I know it's only November.- Nick Johnson
Game saving catch or not, he still only gave up one run. Like qwerty said earlier, I guess are opinions will differ on this one.- TV question, thanks
Thanks for the input on DirecTv. I don't watch much TV except for The Sox, so I have been wavering back and forth as whether to get it or not. I was also kind of hoping Dishnet would pick up the channel considering they have all the Fox Sports Net channels. Anyone know if those Fox channels have baseball on them?- A's after Kendall
Careful there. the White Stockings is former name used by the franchise that is now known as The Cubs (aka The Pinheads)!!!!!!!! :fthecubs- Nick Johnson
I looked further into the box score and saw that rauch did give up 1 ground ball as opposed to 10 fly balls. Like I said, I don't remember the actual game itself, except for thinking he pitched well and shut down Cleveland. - Just some news...
