  1. I'm about 10 pages behind, so what I say may have already been addressed but... Which person does it harm more to lie about Drake's access in the clubhouse, KW or LaRoche/Sale/Eaton? If LaRoche/Sale/Eaton lied or were misled, all the backlash they will receive will be a bruised ego. If KW lied, his job is on the line, and ultimately his future. That's why I'm more inclined to believe KW. He has more to lose than those that are crying.

  3. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 17, 2015 -> 07:54 PM) Kershaw is only 26 and has been pretty durable so far so he's the exception to the rule. If he was 30 years old, he wouldn't have been picked. That's also why Bumgardner and Kluber got votes over Felix. Kluber is actually 2 days younger than Felix. The only reason that Kluber got a couple votes was because of last season. Otherwise there is no other reason not to take Felix over Kluber given King Felix' proven track record
  4. Other teams have better pieces to suit the needs for the Sox. The Tigers brought this upon themselves.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 10, 2014 -> 02:41 PM) No it wasn't. It was explicitly in the show that those schools were being used to find and exploit the children, and that there was a "a place down south where a bunch of Rich Men get some good killin"... He threw the gasoline on the fire. I'm not talking about the Hbuntu actual supernatural theories, but there was too much to the broader scheme of the murders that basically just got resolved by saying "Wellp". All that mattered to Marty and Rust was that they got their guy as was stated in the finale. Its a bit of a cop out, but whatever. . I think that this case took quite a toll on both of their lives so its understandable if they just walk away, after all they are no longer state detectives.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 2, 2014 -> 07:00 PM) Under, but not by much. It's not easy to improve by 13 games when all of your biggest acquisitions are so young. I agree. Give it a year or 2 for the bats to come around, and we could see the team as contenders again. I'm expecting a 72 win season
  7. America votes for the best "Best Picture" winners of the past 64 years While the winning movie was good, it definitely wasnt the best overall
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 09:07 AM) I'm sure everyone knows by now, but if you don't, Adam Dunn was in Dallas Buyers Club. He also partially financed the movie. Supposedly Ventura has allowed him to go to the Oscars on Sunday
  9. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 08:49 AM) If Keppinger is enough to get Murphy you do it. I don't think it will take Beckham to get him as the Yankees really don't have a spot for Murphy. Plus if Beckham were to be traded, I think Semien takes over 2B immediately. It would surprise me if that happened. As it stands now, the Sox would likely carry only 11 pitchers into OD. The positional roster needs to be at least reduced by one in order to protect the pitching staff from wearing down as the season progresses If the Sox can get rid of Kepp, with Phegley in the process, its a no brainer
  10. While I'm disappointed that theres nothing scheduled for Big Frank, I wouldnt be surprised if they have something special planned around the time of his HOF induction.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 12:48 PM) My 1.5 year old son did a header right into the corner of our big coffee table a few months ago. We bought the stupid thing because it was nice and rounded on all of the corners so he wouldn't hurt himself. The legs, however, are carved out and each have one little section that is squared off and comes to a point. I recall having a convo with my wife when we bought it about the odds of him falling and hitting himself on that leg as being astronomically small (the leg is also partially under the table, so I thought even if he did fall near it, he'd hit the top of the table first). Well, my son tripped one day on the rug and managed to hit that spot right under his lip. Just a perfect, one in a million shot. He was gushing blood all over me and the floor. I thought for sure he'd need 20 stitches and he'd be scarred for life. Luckily after a couple of minutes he calmed down and we cleaned him up and it wasn't that bad. He has a tiny scar, but you can't see it unless you really look for it. He's also done a header right into the base of our iron table out on the deck. He hit his forehead square on it. That happened like 2 weeks after a buddy of mine became paralyzed from diving into shallow water. I thought for sure he broke his neck, but again, he was fine. I've learned with this first kid that kids (1) hurt themselves constantly, and (2) are amazingly durable. Something similar to that happened to me when I was about 4 or 5. After playing Super Mario 3 in my room, I ran into the living room, slipped on a rag lying on the floor, and nailed the corner of the coffee table with my face. I missed having a broken nose by an inch or two, and instead received a gash on the left side of my nose, which needed several stitches. A year later, my family and I were on vacation when I decided to injure myself again. Dizzy as I was spinning around in our hotel room, I lost my balance and busted my lip on a face high table. I needed several stitches, and received a fat lip and a black tooth for my clumsiness . I still have scars from both of my accidents.

The scenes with Depp and Warrick Davis in Lifes Too Short were great. I dont know if I should feel bad laughing my ass off when Depp told Davis to act like being struck by lightning.

Im more than satisfied eating that **** cold.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 21, 2012 -> 10:57 PM) Oh, forgot to add this. f*** this movie. Every character is completely hateable. The ending with Carrel's character interrupting his son's speech (IIRC) was horrible, very awkward, and unrealistic. Plus any scene with Emma Stone's friend was god awful

    Pearl Jam

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 12:16 PM) I went with sorta. Not a huge fan. Also, I'm convinced there are no lyrics to Pearl Jam songs. Eddie Vedder just makes sounds instead of singing actual words. Compared to Chris Cornell, who some may argue is the better singer of the Seattle bunch, I find him harder to understand his lyrics as opposed to Vedder's

    Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam is my 2nd favorite band close behind Soundgaren. I definitely recommend Cameron Crowe's documentary PJ20 to anyone who's a fan or hasnt seen it yet QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) Meh, give me Soundgarden or Chains. Pearl Jam blows. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 10, 2012 -> 02:07 PM) Give me Pearl Jam and Chains. Soundgarden blows. It is funny how music does that. Give me Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. AiC blows. I cant stand Staley's vocals

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 02:40 AM) There's tons of treats you can get that freshen their breath. There's also some sort of gel or something you can buy that helps, My mom uses it on our dog, I'll have to ask tomorrow. I bought her several types of dental treats for Christmas, but I assume those help clean her teeth. Her breath still smells like wet garbage farts.

Anyone have any practical recommendations for dog breath stank?
  20. I worked as a campus custodian during my time at college, so I've seen some of the worst while cleaning dorm bathrooms. Turds in urinals, toilets backed up with crap and urine, toilets and sinks covered with barf, TP and trash all over the floor, clogged shower drains, sinks and mirrors smeared with shaving cream and/or toothpaste. I quit after 3 semesters

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 6, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) Southland, people. Southland. Thats still on? I watched it when it was on NBC before it was cancelled mid-season, and then on TNT when it aired the remaining episodes. I thought they put a nail in the coffin for that show afterwards. It was pretty decent.
  23. I got what I asked for except a new electric razor. Actually, I did receive an electric razor, but it was my recently deceased grandfather's My mother gave to me, and she told me that it was expensive and good as new. But the thing is, it actually wasnt. The grips on the sides were worn out, and my grandfather's dead skin and facial hair are still in the head of the razor. Yeah, I have to get a new one. It would creep me the hell out using it.
  24. Good to see Pennywise on the list. He terrified me as a kid
  25. I should clarify that Nolan prefers to use real FX as opposed to special FX. Plus the Batman series and Inception are two entirely different movies - one aims to be realistic while the other is sureal. I can only remember a few instances Nolan used CGI on Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. With that said, I think the current Bane is the one we'll see in the movie. I'm hoping during the final fight, though, Bane get ahold of some venom to put Batman out of commission. I think thats the only way we'll get to see a hulked out Bane
