8/6 Sox v Tigers: 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 07:53 PM) Damn, time to take Danks out. Not a very good pitch call by Toby, as he had him set up to get him with an offspeed pitch. Great game by Danks, he did what we needed him to do. Agreed but Toby called a pretty good game tonight. I did see Danks shake him off a bunch though.

John Lannan or Joel Hanrahan to Sox?
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 12:06 PM) The only way I see Sox trading for him is if Floyd's going elsewhere. After lastnight, I can't see them doing that.

Ken Griffey Jr. + Cash to the White Sox
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:36 AM) Maybe the trade is to bring in an SP and a Griffey salary dump is part of the deal. Maybe Fields and Anderson for Harang or Arroyo and Griffey. If not JD is gone to another team for an SP, Red Sox? if they really do trade Manny. Teams that would be in the market for an OF would be the Diamondbacks, Mets, Yankees, Marlins, Cardinals, and Rays. Tampa and Arizona would be the two that would have the pitching to get a deal done and still be able to contend. And we know that KW likes to make deals with the D-backs. Marlins may have the pitching depending on how Sanchez comes back this week. No!

I wish we had a healthy bullpen, so Oz could just go out there and yank him now.

Sox to face Liriano next week?
Debunking some previous rumors of a possible promotion, manager Ron Gardenhire announced Friday that Francisco Liriano will start Sunday for Triple-A Rochester. Liriano is, of course, 9-0 at Triple-A and really has nothing left to prove in the minors. He has a 0.29 ERA with 42 strikeouts in his last five starts. Yet, the Twins are hesitant to give up on Livan Hernandez, or any other pitcher for that matter.
