  1. My favorite "Don't Stop Believing" memory from 2005 was when Crede, AJ and Rowand were in one of the locker room celebrations and apparently drunk and made Amy Jacobson sing it with them.
  2. I think Tony gets whacked and Chris takes over as boss since he's part of Tony's actual family.
  3. Do players outside of NY and Boston qualify for the ASG?
  4. MB's Wikipedia page updated to include his No-No. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Buehrle
  5. Can we say hometown discount?
  6. Once you've been to Wrigley Field, you've seen the world. Anyways, I've been to: NY, NC, SC, FL, JY, TN, GA, AL, MS, MI, MO, LA, TX, OK, IA, MN, WI, IN, CA, NV, NJ, PA, OH, AR, VA, WV, Jamaica and Canada. I want to go to New England, Arizona, Pacific Northwest, and Europe.
  7. SS2K. Us conservatives are too busy raising our families and going to work to go downtown on a weekday for a protest to get on TV.
  8. Yes definitely sounds pretty nasty between the two of them.
  9. Did anyone hear this message Alec Baldwin left on his daughter's voicemail. Someone has anger issues. I am guessing that Kim Bassinger released this to show what a jerk he can be. Kind of scary. http://www.tmz.com/2007/04/19/alec-baldwin...ge-to-daughter/
  10. I watched Lost last night because I was watching the end of the No-No Wednesday. With several really good episodes in a row, I thought this one was a stinker. Oh well, I am looking forward to seeing how they wrap the season up.
  11. I had the game on the bedroom and the wife finally fell asleep and sent me to the next room but wanted to be woke up if anything happened. I laid in the other bedroom nodding on and off but I did stay up and saw the end of the game.
  12. Funny how? Like I'm a clown? Like I amuse you? I'm here to amuse you?
  13. They did replay it at 11:30 last night. I set a manual recording for it and checked it this morning. I have it saved.
  14. I am so happy for MB. He's my favorite Sox player.
  15. I almost missed it because I was watching Buerle's no-no. But I jumped up and cheered when Sanjaya was booted. I think that the show wanted him gone before next week's Give Back episode so the focus wouldn't be on him.
  16. Jack is beginning to sound like a Ditka sketch. Jack Bauer vs. 3,000,000,000 Chinese. Da Bauer! No president would ever allow what Jack wanted to do with the Chinese and the Russian switches or whatever he was trying to trade them.
  17. Thank God country music week will be over tonight. Brutal. Other than Something to Talk About, I only barely recognized the Carrie Underwood song. Jordin (looked like she wore drapes from Howard Johnsons) and Melinda (no neck) were best. Sanjaya was of course the worst. Which means he will stay.
  18. This team is reminding me very much of the 1985 Bears. Won championship. Came back next year seemingly poised to win again. Didn't. Came back the following year strong again. Again didn't win. Eventually the players stopped listening to the Bears' over-the-top, fiery coach and everything fell apart. White Sox. See above.
  19. A loss in April is JUST AS IMPORTANT as a loss in September. These will haunt us.
  20. MSNBC is saying they found a "disturbing note" and a receipt for the guns in his backpack.
  21. First, I saw an interview from Geraldine Ferraro where she listed all the things that were wrong in American in 1984 and she was asked why her party lost 49-1 in electoral states. She said that she asked a Democrat that was voting for Regan why they were and the voter said, "Because we are standing tall." She said she had no defense for someone feeling proud to be an American and feeling the president had something to do with it. Anyways, I think Iraq has been a disaster but I think Bush will be remembered for having to deal with several enormous tragedies: 9/11, Katrina and Iraq. More than most recent presidents had to deal with.
  22. Per Suntimes: Ozzie to fans: Give Sammy some love April 17, 2007 BY JOE COWLEY Staff Reporter Ozzie Guillen might be reaching. Just as the White Sox manager wanted fans on the South Side to welcome back former Sox great Frank Thomas when the Oakland Athletics came to town last season, Guillen now is asking for the same warmth for Texas Rangers outfielder Sammy Sosa. One major difference: Sosa was a one-time Sox player, longtime Cubs enemy, as far as the South Side is concerned. ''Sammy did a good thing for the city,'' Guillen said. ''I'm not going to say Sammy put the city back on the map, but he might have. Every time we wear a uniform, the Cubs or the White Sox, we represent Chicago. We don't represent the North Side, the South Side or the West Side. We represent the city.'' Unlike Jim Thome's situation in Cleveland, Sox fans have had a recent history of welcoming back their own -- even those who left for free agency such as Thomas and Robin Ventura. But Sosa was Public Enemy No. 1 as a member of the Cubs, which will be a hard sell for Guillen. ''All the stuff he did out there, corked bat? He's not the first one to use it,'' Guillen said. ''The thing they accuse him? We don't know. ''Sammy do more good stuff in baseball than bad stuff, and we have to respect that. The Cubs should be proud of him. I'm not going to say they treat him bad, but a lot of people turn their back on him when he need it. Maybe that's his own fault.'' Hey Ozzie: Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
  23. Any speculating at this point is premature. This is sick, sick, sick though.
  24. I think it's between us and Rio. We have the advantage of having such a melting pot city. Irish, Greek, Italian, Polish and virtually every other country will have neighborhoods of fans already here to cheer for them.
  25. Even when it comes to sports figures, I always feel bad campaigning for someone to lose their job. But especially with Imus. Personally I just don't like Imus, but I don't think he deserved to be fired. His mistake may have been to open his show up to Sharpton. If he had been suspended that day and then came back in two weeks, this would have been a blip. But once the cameras and all starting covering hypocritical, opportunist extortionists like Sharpton and Jackson, Imus was sunk.
