If you see the offical 24 thread, you'll see the show has been getting ragged on pretty good by the posters.

What was with last night's episode. 24 used to be the fastest hour on TV, now I can't wait for it to be over. I am more pissed that next week is the season finale of Prison Break. 24 is not good this year.

Sort of looking forward to Sopranos, but with how much time they take between seasons, I don't care that much. Love, love, love Entourage. Ari rules!
-
Stephanie was a good singer who got screwed last night. That being said, she couldn't win and was probably competing for votes with Lakisha and Dr. Doolittle. The show will step in soon if the better singers keep getting voted near the bottom.

Lost save me from deleting it off my DVR season pass. I really liked last night's episode, although I have become less and less interested in what happens in the flashbacks.

This guy is just an A-hole first and foremost. The fact that he is a cop is just his job. He's just an animal and should have no bearing on how people view cops.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 09:59 AM) Sanjaya was absolutely hilarious. I almost burst out laughing during class just thinking about it. Gina was just awful--totally painful. I don't think she pronounced an entire word durign the whole song. I wan to pain i blaaaaaaaaaaaa. But I think Phil is going home tonight. Oh, and a note to Haley: wear a damn bra. Several things: First Sanjaya was so bad it was funny. I am so sick of this kid. But what was with that girl bawling? She is going to have a rough day at school today. Gina was horrible, but hopefully she can stick around for a good-themed week. I still don't like Melinda. But I do like Jordin. Oh and Soxy, thanks, but I am just fine with a braless Haley.

Just an FYI, Dennis Miller's talk show will premiere on WIND on Monday Noon - 2pm.

Ugh! Where is Jack? Get him on the episode more. What is he doing getting medical treatment. Jack Bauer doesn't get medical treatment. So his sister-in-law tries to make a play for him in the interrogation room. What? Then he demands Audrey Raines' file on her death from Chole. Oh she has nothing better to do than that on a day the president was nearly assasinated, a nuclear bomb already went off in LA and another is on its way to SF. Also, I need to get a job at CTU LA in security. Seems like anyone can do it. They just let the moles in.

Although this show has annoyed the hell out of me, I truly liked this week's episode. There was at least some pay off. Not just fat guy playing ping-pong or driving a VW van.

What could the Sox get for Mackowiak ?
retro1983hat replied to WHITESOXRANDY's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Mar 16, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) I like Mack. too and I don't want to get rid of him. But, a lineup with Ozuna, Hall and Perez against some lefties could be pretty good. Also, Perez can play 3B and 1b. I don't see the Sox getting rid of Ozuna or Cintron so if they want to keep either Perez or Terrero (which I don't like) then it looks like Mack. is the odd man out, no ? Could the Cards use him in their OF and to back up Rolen ? No, no, no, no, no, please not the dreaded SUNDAY LINE-UP. Oh how I hated sitting down on a Sunday afternoon to see: Ozuna Mackowiak Gload Cintron Widger All in the lineup at the same time. On top of that, the only regulars would be Uribe and Anderson. -
Ugh, Sanjaya is grating on me. Even so, not a surprise that Brandon went home. Look for hopefully Sanjaya next week or at worst the week after. Idol will do something before April to get him out.

What's wrong with our pitching?

Any update on Pods would be helpful.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 01:19 PM) Just a couple quick comparisons I came up with off the top of my head: Alfonso Soriano through 394 career ABs: 98H | 55R | 25 2B | 9HR | 38RBI | .249/.280/.391/.670 Aramis Ramirez through 399 career ABs: 89H | 29R | 16 2B | 7HR | 38RBI | .223/.283/.326/.609 Brian Anderson through 399 career ABs: 88H | 49R | 24 2B | 10HR | 36RBI | .221/.281/.361/.642 Miguel Tejada through 400 career ABs: 91H | 55R | 21 2B | 10HR | 48RBI | .228/.293/.370/.663 Paul Konerko through 398 career ABs: 93H | 42R | 14 2B | 13HR | 48RBI | .234/.286/.372/.658 Troy Glaus through 400 career ABs: 93H | 59R | 26 2B | 12HR | 53RBI | .233/.301/.388 /.689 So yeah, Brian Anderson is pretty f***ed. Off the top of your head? Wow, that's impressive. I can't remember what I ate for lunch.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 10:43 AM) Take this for what its worth because theres no source or links. My aunt sent me an email saying that she heard on the radio that Howard Stern actually likes Sanjaya. He claims it to not be a joke against voting for the worst, but who knows nowadays. Apparently hes launched a "vote for sanjaya" campaign and has a huge following voting for sanjaya which could partly contribute to why hes so far ahead this week in voting above all the guys I can't imagine Howard Stern acting as if truly believes something when it is actually blatant self-promotion.
-
I think Brandon is going home because he went first, sang poorly and forgot the lyrics. People voting for Sanjaya are just sadists because he is bascially going to get abused every week for being so terrible. Gina needs to do more. Haley I think will make it another week because she cried and showed some personality by calling herself a shmuck. I thought it was funny and it doesn't hurt that she is easy on the eyes. Personally I like Blake because he is unique and I like Jordin better than LaKisha and Melinda. Please, someone prove to me that Melinda isn't 46 years old.

DePauw ousts sorority over appearence based explusions
retro1983hat replied to southsider2k5's topic in SLaM
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 13, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) I prefer to hear about the Ei Phelta Thi sorority, myself. Just to be dorky, I liked the: Ei Eta Pi one myself. -
White, slow, not-talented-enough-to-make-it-on-talent-alone, dives, crash into walls ....... that's called a GRINDER. One other thing, GRINDERS usually come cheap. I want talent.

DePauw ousts sorority over appearence based explusions
retro1983hat replied to southsider2k5's topic in SLaM
I personally think that frats and sororities are dumb, but, what did these girls think. I mean we all talked about the party sororities, dog sororities. Please, not to say it's right, but they are all like that. -
But Aaaaaarrrrrdsma might not even make the club this year.

Last night was a decent episode, but it seems like the show is getting off what made it great: Jack Bauer. Jack was in a basement in the corner and not on camera most of the time. While I like the President and Mrs. Logan angle, that should be secondary to Jack trying to save the world. JMO!
