Neyer did not know about the Dye signing and did not even double-check his "sources" yet he still wrote an article saying that the White Sox had one of the 10 worst offseasons in baseball. He allowed this article to be published at ESPN.com. Now he is picking the White Sox to win the A.L. Central? Neyer may not be an utter moron but he is clearly a hack.

It's Baby Seal Clubbing Time in Canada
If seals weren't fat, cute, and defenseless no one would care.

Anyone else concerned about the pitching?
Buehrle said he's 100% healthy and has no pain whatsoever on ESPN 1000 yesterday. I don't know if his foot is now prone to further injury but I doubt it. Wow. I didn't realize Garcia was that good away from the Cell last season.

Ordonez Might Miss Opener
I never said they were related, did I? Could Magg$ be lying about having the flu when it's really a problem with his knee? It's possible.

Ordonez Might Miss Opener
Anyone think that Magg$ is lying and it's really his bum knee?

Juan "He" Gone
This will likely be Juan-Gone's shortest stint on a ball club ever. I bet they cut him before the All-Star break. The guy is as fragile as a China plate.

Kurkjian on Twins and Sox
Good point. Since Magg$ barely played last season Dye should be an upgrade.

Kurkjian on Twins and Sox
Offensively, Dye is a downgrade from Magg$. That's about all I can think of.

No, but if you don't even know all of the moves that a team made during their offseason or care to double-check, what credibility do you have?

Once again, I stated why Neyer is a gas-bag. Neyer didn't even know that the White Sox had signed Jermaine Dye when he was reviewing our offseason in one of his ESPN articles. He had the Sox as having one of the 10 worst offseasons in the MLB... "As bad as it gets" Monday, January 31 And then in his next article... "Difficult to quantify outfield arms" Friday, February 4 Give me a break, Neyer is a hack. It's nice that he picked the Sox but he's still bad at what he does. How could you miss a major signing for the team's offseason that you are reviewing?

Rob Neyer is a gas-bag. He didn't even know that we signed Jermaine Dye in one of his articles. Remember?

Dye or Everett?
Everett. He could be batting 3rd at least against righties until Frank is back. He will be in position to knock in a bunch of runs. Once Frank and Everett goes to the bench, you could probably drop him for Dye or another outfielder.

Matt Anderson failed with Detroit and he will fail even worse in Colorado. All he has is a good fastball.

Wow, some nice 2 out hitting by our guys. I guess Ozzie's motivational speech before yesterday's game worked.

Michael Restovich's stats... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/mic...restovich.shtml Baseball America ranked Restovich as the 37th overall ranked prospect in 2003... http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/features/at100.html They also said that Restovich was the Twins "best power hitter" of all their prospects on December 1, 2004... http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/featu...p10s/twins.html

Nope. Michael Cuddyer will start at 3B and Terry Tiffee will back him up.

I agree but isn't he going to be in their rotation now that Miguel Batista is their closer?

Here's Ken Berry... http://baseball-reference.com/b/berryke01.shtml He played for the White Sox from 1962-1970. I couldn't find anything on Lane Berry though.

Kurkjian on Twins and Sox
Okay, I just don't understand how the Sox defense could be worse this season than last season... 2004 Lineup: 2005 Lineup: 1B Konerko 1B Konerko 2B Uribe 2B Iguchi 3B Crede 3B Crede SS Valentin SS Uribe LF Lee LF Podsednik CF Rowand CF Rowand RF Ordonez RF Dye C Olivo C Pierzynski We are the same defensively at 1B, 3B, and CF. We got slightly worse at 2B from Uribe to Iguchi. We got worse at C from Olivo to Pierzynski. We got alot better at SS from Valentin to Uribe. We got alot better at LF from Lee to Podsednik. We got slightly better at RF from Ordonez to Dye (2000 A.L. Gold Glove).
