  1. We have the type of rotation where we'll have a number of big free falls. Not concerned when we put some good games together.
  2. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 06:17 AM) Scott Boras is his agent, and he settled for underslot money? He was a lot tougher on Sox when he represented Rodon. Rodon was the best college pitcher and considered close to the show. Lewis was not the best high school player, and was only selected 1-1 because he struck a deal. He came out ahead.
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 08:25 AM) He's a former Latin signing who is currently 19 years old and playing very well in A Ball. Strong package of tools (speed/power/arm), walks at a decent clip for his age, and sounds like he can actually stick in CF long-term. He's got some swing & miss issues that are concerning, but his ceiling is very, very high. Reminds me of Basabe with more power but a bit less speed. IMO, these are the types of guys we should be targeting as secondary pieces with our best trade assets or as the primary pieces with our less assets. This recent draft provided us with a ton of "baseball players" to provide depth to the system. Now'a the time to sprinkle some athletes in as well. Then yes that's the player type I'm looking for.
  4. I don't know who Frorial is but I'd haggle over 3rd piece, maybe get some of their lat am prospects now turning 18.
  5. He's a hard one to get a bearing on.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 03:10 PM) Reed turned into Davidson, Santos was a whiff...Santiago started his career as a high draft pick swing man (then closer) and turned into Eaton...into possibly 3 Top 100 prospects. Devenski, he was a throw-in at time. I guess we can also say we 'missed' with Junior Guerra and Clayton Richard, haha. Devenski was a terrible trade forever because Bret Myers is human garbage
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 03:08 PM) What do u mean shouldn't have won it? Is this the start of the disintegration of the winners thread? Just wondering cause I get accused of derailing threads enuf. Because we threw mike pelfrey against their ace, Greg. Calm down.

    6/17 Games

That's a stat line that I forget to look at, but yeah it's nice he's showing in game speed.
  10. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20170617 Robert 2-3 with a double, walk, K
  11. We also shouldn't have won it, but pelf gonna pelf
  12. Actually my other takeaway NSS is I'm shocked you have Engel at 10.
  13. I don't know Fisher's defensive report, but power and all I'd have a hard time putting Skoug ahead of fisher given that Fisher has produced so far and that so few think Skoug can stick at C.
  14. Nats about to sign edwin jackson. Should solve their issues.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) Kincanon has signed, per his own Twitter announcement. 11th rounder might be over-slot. Great news.
  16. I've always had a lower tolerance but if we truly got cubs to offer Jimenez which I doubt (I think they'd want a more sure power pitcher), I'd take an offer of Jimenez, someone like Clifton and Aramis Ademan.
  17. recuse. Nobody can refuse the Rosenstein.
  18. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:40 AM) There were some real responses to the questions in there. Murkowski came across as intelligent and informed, for one. So did Portman. The problem is that there's no way politically for the Republicans to alter health care to both increase access and decrease cost if they use the House bill as any part of a framework. Well she has to, the current bill is squeezing Alaska even though it's favorable to it in terms of smoothing their costs. They will be crushed because of the expenses of health care in Alaska and their population unless they specifically carve out Alaska exceptions.
  19. Yeah, I don't know. If you were to give me all three options I very well may have voted Leury Garcia with an .800 OPS in Mid June with essentially a starters load as least likely.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:29 AM) After this road trip, the White Sox will only have 35 games left that won't be played in Chicago this season. Good info. It has felt like every home stand is 3 games and then they go on a 10 game road trip.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:05 AM) We asked 8 Senate Republicans to explain what their health bill is trying to do (the real goal of the bill is giving tax cuts to millionaires so they can buy a bigger boat, any impact on healthcare policy is largely incidental) It's so ridiculous that they are talking about this bill as 100% a political issue, and not a healthcare one.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:03 AM) Lmao, if James Shields is what turns Giolito around. He turned around Wil Myers, maybe James should go into coaching.
