People are going to be very disappointed with the return.
  2. On queue: ChiSox: Do you have renewed faith in Micker Adolfo? Dude is hitting bombs this year. 1:08 Eric A Longenhagen: There are some statistical red flags, I’m still a bit apprehensive.

All athletic outfielders are jared mitchell until the end of time.
  4. There's not really much we can do, an 18 year old power hitting SS would look really good in our system even if he's not a future SS. But just reflexively getting mad at any hint he's actually good just seems based on envy to me. Still substantial risk in him. BUt I'd rather have him than shields.
  5. You will see Tatis Jr on more than law's mid year top 100s. He's showing really good power for an 18 year old in A ball. Would be shocked if he's not on Callis's and Longenhagens based on their chats.
  6. KC Johnson's twitter feed to day is just infuriating to read.
  7. And the power. One thing if he's just hitting for higher average, but the power at age 20 is really nice to see
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 09:36 AM) Like that's gonna stop Trumpster from mentioning it over and over I'm not really sure it matters whether trump has ammo or not. It clearly mattered enough to CNN to ask for their resignations. OTOH they don't care that Corey Lewandowski was getting paid by trump campaign while still providing "commentary".
  9. I don't know more than you, am not surprised at the walks as that was the profile that was at FS. I kinda file these guys in the box with Aaron Schnurbusch. He's a little different since he was a draft-eligible sophomore, but idea being enjoy the success while they beat up on younger players, but don't really get too interested until they start to hit above their weight.
  10. You only need look at Mets to see how quickly loads of arms falls apart. I think starting end of this year to next we'll feel the lack of HS arms as Kanny/WS may hit a weird spot with pitching. Feels like we have a lot because there are the pitchers condensed at the top. Really not that concerned with how our AAA pitchers are faring. THis is the hardest part of development, when they need to reign in control and learn how to keep swings and misses. Some are going to fail but not giving up on any of them. THat said, somebody is going to be terrible and we'll wonder how we ever thought they were good. Need to get a surprise or two out of the lower level prospects.
  11. Maybe, but perhaps the difference is they accepted responsibility for their breach.
  12. I know, arbitrary starts and all that. But Micker started off April injured and cold hitting 233/292/300 Since then, he's hit .309/.355/.585 good for a .940 OPS. He started turning his May doubles into June home runs. He still k's a lot, and his slash line isn't great when he falls behind, but what a turn of events for this guy.

QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 04:46 PM) It is absolutely time to panic. 22 year old in low A hitting .209? He's in high A
  14. Adolfo also had a double. Really intriguing power he's showing.
  15. QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 12:38 PM) I'm very excited to get the chance to watch Alec Hanson and his marvelous pitch-face tonight. Totally. His face looks like a video game character.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 11:42 AM) i really dont understand what Rizzo is doing. This bullpen construction looks like a rebuilding team throwing together a pen, not a team that has a playoff worthy offense and starting pitching They have spent quite a bit of resources acquiring bullpen help the last few years in both dollars. I think they really want to try to avoid that, and that RIzzo to some extent believes there will be a regression to the mean with some of their pieces they believed in more prior to the year.
  17. Bulls doing something creative like using cap space for picks is something I wouldn't bet on. But, phil's stupiditiy aside, the package he was asking for Porzingis was legitimate. I don't think they are giving him away. He's not Gar Forman.
  18. QUOTE (harkness @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 04:48 PM) Why? Getting swept by a team with the worst record in the American league, and his team looking mentally unprepared? Hahaha never change soxtalk
  19. Congrats to Engel, his first home run.
  20. QUOTE (Username @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 01:27 PM) Yep, thought it was my tv haha Same. Driving me crazy.
  21. Thanks
  22. Ugh God why did we waste a 17th round draft pick on a guy with a 97 mph fastball! Draft some slow no power college senior instead!
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 10:12 PM) Wow...can't believe Davidson's ball stayed in the park. Didn't quite get it cleanly, off the end of the bat just enough. That's a double if CF played normally.
